As the preferred wedding florist for The Moat House Dorsington we loved being part of a creative shoot to showcase this stunning new venue. The Moat House Dorsington is a stylists dream and offers a great backdrop for the perfect wedding day. We created a rustic styled wedding shoot with long tables full of spring flowers and a mix of vessels and vases that felt natural in the barn.
RUSTIC SPRING BRIDAL BOUQUET
Our favourite bouquets are natural in style and are created and designed to showcase the flowers, we love working with seasonal blooms and so for this rustic spring bridal bouquet we combined scented narcissi, soft ranunculus, spring tulips, grey brunia balls and nigella seed heads for texture with blush pink lisianthus for a touch of colour and foliage from the garden. The bouquet was finished with a hessian wrap and trailing hand dyed silk ribbon with a soft blush tone.
Olivia our model loved the flowers and rustic styling so much she has booked us for her wedding next year.
RUSTIC SPRING BUTTON HOLES
For a rustic spring button hole we combined ranunculus, lisianthus, nigella seed heads, pieris and feathers for a touch of whimsy, all finished with twine. The button hole looked just perfect with the groom’s outfit from Clement & Church. We love to be imaginative when we deliver our wedding flowers and the button holes suited one of our rustic tree slices.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON ~ FIREPLACE WITH SPRING FLOWERS IN RUSTIC URNS
The Moat House Dorsington is offered for exclusive use weddings and the large entrance hall with its stunning fireplace is a great place for photographs. These rustic stone urns with a large spring arrangement of eucalyptus, pussy willow, tulips and lisianthus provided a warm welcome.
As guests enter the barn for the reception make sure to add a touch of dressing, the bay tree with a welcome sign sat on a rustic wooden crate is just right.
ESCORT CARDS USING APOTHECARY BOTTLES
We love being creative with escort cards and our A frame ladders are a great place to display apothecary bottles with blooms and a tag with the guests name and table number on. Guests can then pick up the bottle and find their seat. At Passion for Flowers we have a great collection of props including vintage bottles, and hand selected pieces for all our couples to hire.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON WEDDING ~ LONG GUEST TABLES WITH RUSTIC CHIC SPRING FLOWERS
The Moat House Dorsington offers a flexible space for your wedding reception. For this shoot we worked with long guest tables with rustic chic spring flowers. If you are using long guests tables the key is to add lots of interesting vases and vessels. We added hessian runners and hessian chair backs to keep the rustic feel to the barn. On the windowsills around the barn vintage books, candles and tea lights in bark containers and spring flowers completed the look.
The key pieces on the tables were our rustic footed urn centrepiece filled with a mix of spring flowers scented narcissi, tulips and eucalyptus with brunia balls, feathers and moss.
HESSIAN MR & MRS CHAIR BACKS
The hessian Mr and Mrs Chair Backs are great for the bride and groom.
Along the tables we added an assortment of rustic centrepieces bark containers with spring flowers, vintage pots, terracotta plant pots with succulents, wooden boxes planted with succulents and moss and lots of apothecary bottles. For a chic look we added vintage brooches to some of the bottles. Books were used to add height to some of the arrangements and give a sense of unity to the tables.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON GALLERY ~ JUST MARRIED BUNTING
The gallery in the barn looks down over the main room and is a great spot for a romantic photo. The Just Married bunting finished with a hand tied bunch of spring flowers completes the look.

We were thrilled to be part of a styled shoot at The Moat House Dorsington earlier this year. Robert and Peter from The Moat House were keen to showcase their fabulous new venue and were delighted with the results. Passion for Flowers is looking forward building on our relationship as their preferred wedding florist and creating flowers for their clients. We first met Robert back at The National Wedding Show 18 months ago and are delighted that this wonderful venue is now available for exclusive use for weddings.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON WEDDING SHOOT ~ VINTAGE ROMANCE PINK ROSE BOUQUET
For a soft vintage romance bouquet we chose softest blush pink and deeper toned pink roses hand tied with lace to complement the wonderful wedding gown. If your dress has lots of embellishments then we like to keep the bouquet quite simple and let the flowers speak for themselves.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON GLASS CEREMONY ROOM ~ MR & MRS CHAIR BACKS & AISLE DECORATIONS
On of the stunning features The Moat House Dorsington has to offer is its Award Winning Glass Ceremony room. This provides an intimate setting for any wedding ceremony and needs little decoration. For aisle decoration simple glass hurricane lamps, wicker hearts tied on with hessian and for the bride and groom our cute Mr and Mrs Chair Backs.
The ceremony table just needs a grouping of organic glass vases with simple blooms to complete the look. As the seasons change the Glass Ceremony room will open up to spectacular views of the moat and surrounding planting. We can’t wait to see it come to life over the coming months.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON GLASS CEREMONY ROOM ~ GIANT LOVE LETTERS
If you are looking for a WOW factor piece for your wedding then the giant LOVE letters are just perfect. What a great piece to have for your ceremony which look fantastic as the light fades later in the day. They could then be set up in the bar or party room to add sparkle to your evening celebratiaons.

VINTAGE TEA PARTY ~ THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON
The Moat House Dorsington is a gorgeous new venue which is a stylists dream. It has so many lovely places to decorate and we enjoyed creating flowers for a vintage tea party. With a vintage tea party look we just adore blousy roses in all shades of pink teamed with broom and touches of pittosporum for a country garden feel.
If you are using a long guest table then add flowers in vintage china at differing heights a teapot with flowers, a stack of vintage tea cups and then a beautifully decorated cake plate with soft roses.
Then just sit back and enjoy your vintage tea party. x
SHUSTOKE FARM BARNS WEDDING FLOWERS ~ PURPLE BRIDAL BOUQUET
Purple is Georgie’s favourite colour and played a large part in her glamorous wedding celebrations at Shustoke Farm Barns. We created a hand tied bouquet with purple lisianthus, delicate clematis trails, blush toned Quicksand roses and snippets of astrantia.
SHUSTOKE FARM BARNS WEDDING FLOWERS ~ MERCURY SILVER VASES & PURPLE LISIANTHUS
Georgie and Chris chose the relaxed setting at Shustoke Farm Barns for their summer wedding and were one of the first couples to use the Barn.To continue the luxe look set by Georgie and her elegant wedding gown we agreed on a a mix of mercury silver vases and vessels and added lisianthus in purple, her favourite colour, with the gorgeous nude coloured Quicksand roses and touches of astrantia, the soft tones of the rose picked up the luxe look of the mercury silver vases and mercury silver candlesticks. Candles are another of Georgie’s favourite things and featured everywhere.
Ben The Cakeman created the most wonderful cake which we were thrilled to source the flowers for. The creation he made was just out of this world and stole the show. Photos – floral photos by Passion for Flowers, professional photos by Lyndsey Goddard
I first met Amy at the Rock My Wedding Pop Up Shop last year when Lolly introduced us and knew we would be able to help her with her plans for a gorgeous New Years Eve Wedding. Amy and Huw were married in the seclusion of St Paul’s Convent, bringing back lovely memories for her family, and the couple were welcomed with open arms.
The ceremony in the chapel was followed by a sumptuous dinner and party at Edgbaston Golf Club where we helped Amy create a glamorous look for her New Years Eve wedding celebrations.
BRIDAL BOUQUET ~ WHITE, GOLD, IVORY AND GREEN
Flowers were very important to Amy and she wanted a bouquet to suit her elegant lace wedding gown. The bouquet was a mix of white, ivory and gold with touches of green from the eucalyptus. We included touches of gold with hydrangea, artichoke heads and bitter balls perfect with creamy hydrangea, roses and lisianthus all finished with a luxe gold wrap to the stems.
BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS ~ WHITE & GOLD WEDDING FLOWERS
Amy had chosen her bridesmaids dresses with a glamour wedding in mind, the girls had wonderful gold dresses and we teamed these with hand tied bouquets of creamy flowers with accents of gold.
FLOWER CROWNS ~ WHITE, GREY & GOLD
Later in the evening Amy planned a surprise when she changed her veil and head dress for a delicate flower crown. I think even Lolly was a little envious of the flower crown. We always love delivering the bridal party flowers on the day when everyone is getting ready and were delighted that Amy was so happy with her flowers.
BUTTON HOLES ~ IVORY & GREY
Huw and the men had button holes of ivory roses with grey dusty miller. The stems were delicately covered with gold ribbon to tie in with the girls bouquets.
THE CEREMONY FLOWERS ~ PEW ENDS & HURRICANE LANTERNS
Flowers in the chapel were a very important part of Amy and Huw’s day and we enjoyed visiting St Paul’s to discuss details together. Hurricane lamps lined the route through the cloisters and down the aisle and provided the candlelight the couple wanted. Eucalyptus in the pew ends added a lovely winter aroma in the chapel.
THE CEREMONY FLOWERS ~ LARGE CANDELABRA
For the ceremony we added to the candlelight with large silver candelabra with creamy white flowers and touches of gold and green, the chapel looked resplendent for such a joyous occasion.
With the wedding on New Year’s Eve Amy and Huw wanted to create a glamorous party feel to their wedding celebrations. The gold chairs set the tone and a highlight was the full length garland of flowers to the top table. Mounds of cream hydrangea, roses and touches of gold hydrangea, artichoke heads and grey foliage worked perfectly and as soon as the candles were light the room was ready for Amy and Huw to welcome their family and friends.
RECEPTION FLOWERS ~ GUEST TABLES
Amy and her mum had fun collecting vintage rose bowls, silver candelabra and silver rose bowls for the the guest tables. We loved filling them with gold, cream and grey flowers to continue the glamour look to their New Year’s Eve wedding celebration. A touch of whimsy was added by Amy and Huw, the napkins were in the shape of their pet rabbit Flapjack, who had a special visit from Amy and Huw before they arrived at their reception.

The Birches is the newest addition to Hampton Manor, Solihull. The Birches is a wonderful wedding ceremony barn which has recently been renovated and can now hold wedding ceremonies, it sits in the grounds of Hampton Manor. The barn was unveiled in the autumn, see how we styled the barn for rustic weddings and vintage glamour weddings back in October.
BARN WEDDING VENUE SOLIHULL
Here at Passion for Flowers we were asked to style the barn for Hampton Manor’s latest wedding fair, this time we styled it for a beautiful spring wedding ceremony. We kept to an overall rustic style in keeping with the barn itself and used lovely spring flowers including anemones, ranunculus, narcissus, tulips, hyacinths, succulents, broom and eucalyptus.
VINTAGE CART FILLED WITH FLOWERS
This was the perfect opportunity to use our latest find. We recently added this vintage cart to our collection of props (available for Passion for Flowers brides to hire). We added narcissus to the crate and set up the cart outside the barn to welcome guests, it also looks great inside the entrance of the barn too.
Within the entrance to the ceremony barn we set up our 12 wooden crates to make shelving. This is great for adding bottles, books, signs and candles to add interest to the room. Hampton Manor now have these crates set up all year so if you have chosen this venue to get married in you can use these for your own wedding styling.
Our vintage scales look perfect reminding us that marriage is a balancing act with the bride’s name on one scale and the groom’s on the other. It is always good to add a touch of whimsical fun into your wedding styling.
At the entrance to the ceremony barn we set up our large stone candle sticks and This Way to The I Do’s sign pointing guests in the right direction.
The barn is light and airy making a lovely setting for a wedding ceremony, we placed hurricane vases down the aisle with moss and a pillar candle inside. Keeping to all white and green flowers kept the room looking fresh and welcoming.
Either side of the ceremony table we created spring arrangements in large stone urns. Using eucalyptus, broom, and tulips kept these simple and striking. Along the ceremony table we used a mix of containers and vases, in crystal glass and mercury silver with tiny bud vases, tea light holders and candle sticks to finish the look. White tulips, anemones and ranunculus looked stunning in these.
If you have chosen Hampton Manor for your wedding and after browsing our website think we could be the right wedding florist for you we would love to hear from you, send us a note to check our availability for your wedding date.

For a dose of spring love check out this blush pink wedding bouquet and delicate archway garland.
As part of the love inspired shoot for Rock My Wedding back in January we created a delicate archway garland to frame the bride, we kept the foliage and flowers wispy and delicate to complement the beautiful lace wedding dress. We used delicate foliage including pieris with spring catkins as a base for the garland and then wired in the softest pale pink tulips, lisianthus and scented narcissus.
BLUSH PINK SPRING WEDDING INSPIRATION
The small delicate blush pink bridal bouquet posy was a spring mix of narcissi, ranunculus, palest blush pink lisianthus and snippets of delicate blush pink broom hand tied with textured ribbon with a blush pink satin overlay, finished with a bow. This mix is perfect for a blush pink spring wedding. Passion for Flowers featured on Rock My Wedding. Photography by Julia & You
MYTHE BARN WEDDING FLOWERS
Mythe Barn is one of our favourite barn venues and when Sarah and Farren asked us to do their wedding flowers we knew it was just the sort of wedding we would love to work on.
WHITE HYDRANGEA & ROSE BOUQUET
Our bride wanted the most romantic of bouquets to be the perfect match to her wedding gown. A mix of garden O Hara roses, scented freesias and softest hydrangea blooms creating the look.
PEACH BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS
The bridesmaids bouquets were stunning hand tied bouquets of peach David Austin roses, soft blush bombastic roses with hints of gypsophila and daisies for a summery look.
GARDEN ROSE BUTTON HOLES
For the men’s button holes we used peach David Austin (Juliet Roses) with a touch of daisy to tie in with the bridesmaids and for Farren the groom, we made a button hole using a white O Hara garden rose and gypsophila to tie in with his bride.
Sarah, Farren and their families had been very hands on and creative making props for the wedding. We love the directional sign showing guests which way to go, this looked great at Mythe Barn.
Love this shot of Sarah and Farren having their ‘confetti moment’. A quick reminder for all Passion for Flowers brides, you get 10% off from The Wedding of my Dreams which could go towards your soft pink confetti petals.
WOODEN SWING AT MYTHE BARN
Our favourite part of this wedding, and one of Sarah’s we know, was this beautiful wooden swing, it had been hand made with love by Sarah’s Dad. The swing looked stunning hanging at Mythe Barn and we decorated the sides with delicate ivy, pearls and roses. This was a first for Mythe Barn and was a great photo spot.
CHILLINGTON HALL WEDDING FLOWERS
Rachael and Ashley were married in August last year at the stunning Chillington Hall. Chillington Hall is a beautiful Georgian country house in Staffordshire. For their flowers their overall colour scheme was vintage tones of creams and dusky pinks colours, they loved the Sweet Avalanche and Memory Lane roses so we used these throughout their day.
BRIDAL BOUQUET ~ DUSKY PINK & CREAM ROSES
For Rachael’s bridal bouquet we created a hand tied bouquet of roses in dusky pinks and creams, we tied this with satin ivory ribbon with an overlay of lace to tie in with her stunning wedding dress.
Her bridesmaids had small bouquets of ivory Avalanche Roses again tied with ivory ribbon. I love how the bouquets have been captured and what a wonderful setting Chillington Hall is for a truly romantic wedding.
CHILLINGTON HALL ~ WEDDING CEREMONY FLOWERS
For the wedding ceremony at Chillington we scattered fresh rose petals down either side of the aisle and tied a single rose head to each chair as well as the bride and groom’s chairs. The ceremony took place in The Saloon, with soaring ceilings and a magnificent chandelier so these subtle decorations were all that was needed. For the ceremony table itself we created an arrangement filled with cream and dusky pink roses with eucalyptus to trail.
CHILLINGTON HALL ~ WEDDING CENTREPIECES
For the centrepieces in the Marquee at Chillington Rachael loved out large silver candelabra as well as our footed vases. We alternated the tables with each of these. The tall candelabra added wow factor and height to the flowers which were noticed by guests as they entered the marquee and the lower footed bowls added variation. The footed bowls were filled with pearls and had a mix of ivory and dusky pink roses, freesias and eucalyptus. A similar mix of flowers were used in the candelabra.
Around the base of the vases we placed our vintage style silver and glass tea light holders which look stunning when lit as they cast wonderful shadows on the table.
For their table plan Rachael and Ashley used our vintage birdcage which we decorated with posies of roses. Rachael enjoyed planning her romantic wedding and we were delighted to be part of her day.
