Hampton Manor is one of our regular wedding venues, here at Passion for Flowers we find ourselves working there a number of times a year but each wedding couldn’t be more different. Sarah and Neil used Peels Restaurant for their wedding reception, the restaurant has a bright vibrant feel to it. The hot pink chairs and stunning chandelier make it a beautiful choice for a wedding reception. The gardens at Hampton Manor offer a gorgeous setting for your drinks reception, we decorated the terrace with hot pink roses in shepherds crooks.hampton manor wedding flowerswhite hydrangea bouquetpink wedding flower

For the bridal bouquet we worked with Sarah to create a soft blousy white bouquet to complement her stunning Jenny Packham dress. We achieved a vintage glamour feel with the florals by using a mix of white hydrangeas, David Austin roses, scented freesias (her Grandma’s favourite) and snippets of gypsophilia tied with ivory satin ribbon. The bridesmaid bouquets had fluffy white hydrangeas with frilly Illusion roses.white hydrangea bouquet

We created Sarah and Neil’s initials from moss, these were laid outside Hampton Manor.moss lettersPeels restaurant looked stunning, the tables were named after the bride and grooms favourite bands. To achieve the wow factor when guests entered the room the tables were a riot of colour. The centre pieces had a stunning arrangement on a Moroccan silver cake stand, the lavish floral arrangement included hot pink and blush roses, trailing amaranthus and fluffy hydrangeas. Vibrant votives, Moroccan tea lights, ribbon and badges on the napkins in aqua and pink completed the look.

Sarah provided us with a lovely personalised container for the top table, we filled this with a mix of pink roses, including Sweet Avalanche, Illusion and snippets of astrantia, placed in a bell jar.

We suggested Sarah put her bouquet in a vase on her dessert table so all the guests could get a closer look. Sarah dried her bouquet which now takes pride of place in the top table container as a permanent reminder of her wedding day.pink wedding flowers

Extra details included badges on everyone’s place setting, an amazing cake table by the super talented Tracy from Cotton and Crumbs and a CD favour for wedding guests with songs on from the wedding day. Pretty Naughty Party Rock My Wedding

Well it’s been a very busy summer for us here at Passion for Flowers, we have seen our fair share of beautiful weddings and events. So busy in fact, we haven’t found much time to blog all the pretty we have been seeing, this means we’ve got a lot stored up and should be making its way to the blog shortly.

We thought we’d start with the wedding event of the year, Rock My Wedding hosted their amazing Pretty Naughty Party back in September, no doubt you’ve read all about it on their blog. From the catwalk, to the bike shed and the launch of Rock My Shop the whole event was a huge success. We loved being a part of it!

Candelabra And Footed Vases At Staunton Harold, Leicestershire

Sorry for the lack of blog posts recently, we have busy so busy with weddings, consultations and about to start doing the Autumn wedding fairs. Can’t believe this wedding was in May, it feels like yesterday. Where has the year gone?!

Julie and Craig had their wedding reception at Staunton Harold a stunning privately owned manor house in Leicestershire. Julie chose tall candelabra on the tables to fill the room at Staunton Harold these looked stunning mixed with a number of low arrangements too. We used a mix of roses, hydrangeas, herbs and eucalyptus in both table arrangements to keep them similar. Browse through our photos to see how you could have your wedding flowers at Staunton Harold.

The entrance hall was used for the Julie and Craig’s first dance, our 5′ silver candelabra with florals draped down the stem made a lovely back drop next to the huge fireplace.

Meet Jessie, Our Cockapoo Puppy

She’s 8 weeks old here, and currently sleeping on my lap as I write this. After loosing Jasper our King Charles Spaniel earlier in the year I’ve been missing a companion in my work room, I’m sure our brides and grooms will fall in love with her too. If you want to say hello at your floral consultation just ask, I’m sure she’d love to meet you!

Natural Country Garden Wedding Flowers at Wroxall Abbey

Here at Passion for Flowers we are only minutes down the road from Wroxall Abbey, Warwickshire, as one of their preferred wedding florists we find ourselves working at this gorgeous venue many times a year.

We try to make each wedding different from one another, letting the couple really put their own stamp on the venue to create their own special day. Emma and Tony were planning a relaxed country garden look for their wedding, we used a  mix of rustic wedding flowers to create the look they were going for.

white summer bridal bouquet

Emma, her two bridesmiads and two flower girls had lovely ‘just picked’ bouquets. For the bouquets we used mainly white summer flowers including scabious, veronica, astrantia, limonium as well as  highlights of lavender. The bouquet wraps were  hessian  tied up with string to keep a rustic / country style feel. Tony and the rest of the bridal party had lavender and rosemary button holes with twine detailing.

wooden crates wedding flowersAt the entrance to Wren’s Cathedral at Wroxall Abbey we had two stacks of wooden crates with lavender creating a beautiful scent as guests entered the chapel. Leading up to the chapel was bunting and lanterns to guide guests along the pathways.

Wren’s Cathedral is quite dark inside so candles on window sills and the fonts brighten it up, as well as large floral archways using white flowers. We used luscious white hydrangeas on the archway to brighten up the wooden screen.

Hanging bottles create fabulous backdrops for photos, these apothecary bottles were hanging from trees outside the chapel, some with flowers others not. We love hanging bottles at weddings, we have used them to create wishing trees previously. Guests each tie a wish for the bride and groom written on a luggage tag to each bottle.

hanging bottles weddingWithin the marquee itself we created a mix of similar table centres. As there were 28 tables it was important to Emma and Tony that all tables were not identical but had a connection to one another with the mix of flowers used. We used a mixture of table cloths, floral, lace and hessian, styled with rustic wedding flowers. Jugs, buckets, wooden bark containers, zinc tea lights, crystal glassware and mirrored cake stands to create the overall look and feel of the rustic style.rustic wedding flowers wroxall abbeyrustic wedding flowers wroxall abbeyrustic wedding flowers wroxall abbey

Extra finishing touches include the rustic sweetie table and a sprig of lavender on each guests place setting as a small favour.

Vintage Wedding Flowers At The Belfry, Midlands

Back in May we worked on a vintage birdcage inspired wedding at The Belfry, Midlands. Working with our bride we decided a mix of soft pink roses and dusky pink roses would suit her theme and initial ideas. The bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were a mix of vintage roses with snippets of astrantia to add texture.vintage roses bridal bouquetThe Belfry Hotel is home to the Ryder Cup and has great views over the 18th hole of golf course. The Wedding breakfast was held in the Ryder Room, vintage inspired bunting was hung all around the room, as guests entered the room it instantly gave it a whimsical feel. Each guest table had an extra large birdcage with a mix of soft pink and dusky pink roses on a bed of moss and gypsophilia with pearls draped through them to add a hint of vintage glamour to the room.

Our bride had created a wonderful table plan using a set of old ladders. The table cards were pegged to the ladders with bottles and jars scattered throughout.

Dusky Pink Roses {Wedding Flowers at Wethele Manor}

Back in May we worked on an elegant vintage inspired wedding at Wethele Manor, Warwickshire. We used a beautiful mix of dusky pink roses to complement the bride’s vision for her day. Included in our mix of beautiful blooms were memory lane roses, sweet avalanche roses, as well as pure white peonies and soft pink astilbe. At Passion for Flowers we found dusky pink to be one of the most popular colour choices last last, a trend which has continued to hold strong well into this year.dusky pink rose bouquetThe bridal bouquet was a trailing hand tied mix of dusky pink roses and astilbe, wrapped in dusky pink ribbon finished off with delicate lace to give that touch of vintage elegance . The bridesmaid’s had a similar mix of flowers keeping to a smaller rounder shape. For the button holes we love the mix of textures, the groom had a special button hole with an amnesia rose, ranunculus and astilbe while the groomsmen had a rose and astilbe.dusky pink rose bouquets button holesThe ceremony took place in the oak beamed conservatory at Wethele Manor, we used our stunning 5′ high silver candelabra with a trailing floral arrangements to line the aisle. silver candelabra weddingBirdcages were hung from the oak beams, we used a mix of dusky pink roses and draped the birdcages in elegant pearls.hanging birdcages dusky pink rosesbirdcage wedding flowersThe ceremony table had a beautiful garland filling the length of the table with a mix of dusky pink roses and ivy to create a whimsical elegant look.ceremony wedding flowers dusky pink rosesThe conservatory has lovely wooden window sills which we placed crystal glass vases and bottles with a mix candles and flowers.crystal glass weddingMoving on to the reception in the marquee at Wethele Manor, guests entered the room to see a smiple yet elegant table plan framed by our tall candelabra and free standing birdcage. Kilworth House Wedding {Elegant Wedding Flowers}

Kilworth House Wedding

Back in April we worked on a stunning Kilworth House wedding.The tone of the day was soft romantic and elegant which we reflected in our choice of flowers. Having met with Jennie at Kilworth House earlier in the year, we decided soft pink and pastel toned roses would be perfect in the orangery with the gorgeous glass ceiling and exposed brick work.

elegant wedding flowers church

The ceremony took place in an idyllic country church near to Kilworth House, we used glass footed bowls filled with pearls in the base and soft pink pastel roses in the arrangement. With a highlight of eucalyptus and astrantia for texture.

To continue the elegant look in the country church one of our 5′ silver candelabra was positioned at the front. Again the elegant pastel pink roses and soft peach roses were used mixed with grey green eucalyptus.
elegant wedding flowers candelabraFor the button holes a soft peach rose and astrantia gave an elegant look. The tradition is that the groom should wear a rose that could have been picked from the bride’s bouquet, so these roses were included in Jennie’s bouquet too.elegant rose button holeFor the bride we created an elegant hand tied bouquet. Using soft pastel pink roses, soft peach roses, astrantia and gyp tied with lace. This is one of our signature styles here at Passion for Flowers… simple and elegant.

To keep an elegant wedding look in the orangery we used a mix of table centres. Half the tables had our silver candelabra with full arrangements of roses, astrantia and eucalyptus.wedding flowers kilworth houseFor the other guest tables we used our stylish silver and glass footed bowls, with pearls in the base and a similar mix of flowers, a group of vintage tea light holders on these tables would give these tables a soft romantic look as the evening drew in.
For the long top table we used a mix of the soft pink roses and soft peach toned roses, with elegant pearls draped through the arrangement. Either side of this we had glass bottles with single stem roses and tea lights along the tables.
