Barnsley House Wedding Flowers ~ White, Blush & Mercury Silver Glass

We just love Barnsley House wedding flowers and we delighted to be asked to be the wedding florist for a gorgeous wedding on 1 May. I had the good fortune of meeting Annalise and Pez earlier this spring to finalise arrangements for their intimate wedding celebrations at Barnsley House.

For the day Annalise chose creamy whites and soft blush tones for her wedding flowers. Pez’s button hole had a touch of spray rose and eucalyptus to tie in with the bridal bouquet.

When I first saw photos of the gorgeous dresses the young girls would be wearing I just knew that the dreamy flower girl pomanders would look stunning. Their soft blush pink dresses had a blousy rose and they all enjoyed their day so much. I’ll let you into a little secret here, when collecting the urns the next day the girls had chosen to wear their dresses for their breakfast and still looked just as cute!

Annalise had discussed her stunning dress with me and chose a blousy rose and scented peony bouquet with touches of eucalyptus. The look was timeless and so so elegant.

At Barnsley House we created an elegant timeless setting for the indoor ceremony, the large urns brought the feeling of a garden setting filled with hydrangea, peonies and roses. The aisle was lined with elegant silver lanterns filled with fresh rose petals. The gardens beckoned for a few photos after the ceremony just before the heavens opened again but nothing could dampen the spirits of this happy couple.

Candles and mercury silver created the elegant centrepieces for this Barnsley House wedding. The huge mirror and fireplace overflowing with candles and candlesticks set a romantic look and feel to the room. The centrepieces continued this elegant look with a mix of candlesticks, silver footed bowls and mercury silver vases and vessels filled with scented roses and peonies. I love the freshness of the rosemary tucked into each place setting.

Rustic Elegant Wedding Flowers ~ Leanne & David

I first met Leanne at a wedding last summer and were more than thrilled when she asked if Passion for Flowers would be able to help her with styling and flowers for her spring wedding at South Farm. Leanne runs Blooming Lovely Films and we have admired her work and just love her style. We had great fun when we met David at the Wedding Industry Awards and were introduced to Ross Harvey who had been asked to photograph this epic wedding. Over the last months we met Leanne a number of times, shared pinterest boards and generally agreed on all things floral.

As it was our first wedding at South Farm we took the opportunity to meet up with Leanne and David early this year to see the how we could decorate and enhance the natural beauty of South Farm.

Leanne’s vision for the day was a relaxed day of happiness with family and loved ones. We know she did this and were so happy to be chosen as her florist. As she talked through ideas from the doors to the vespa to the Easter Egg hunt we knew how gorgeous their day would be and of course her divine Claire Pettibone dress.

Ross Harvey ( has done such a fantastic job at capturing this beautiful day, see all their wedding photos over on Ross’ blog. Leanne and her bridesmaids enjoyed their morning of preparations andwe were delighted to meet up with some of our industry friends  Make up by Jodie and Helena Sinclair Bridal Hair when we arrived with the flowers.

South Farm is simply stunning and we worked with its natural beauty to create timeless yet rustic elegant flowers. A mix of roses, clematis, wax flower, pittosporum, hellebores, broom with nigella seed heads created just the right mix for the day.

David and his best man Jim set the style for the boy team and we loved their coloured jackets. Rustic elegant button holes with spray roses and a mix from the day, finished with twine fitted the bill perfectly. rustic elegant wedding flowers passion for flowers at south farm rustic elegant button holes wedding flowers passion for flowers

At her final consultation Leanne and I agreed on a gorgeous look for her rustic elegant bouquets. The long trailing ribbons looked wonderful with the elegant dresses  chosen for the bridesmaids. rustic elegant wedding flowers bridesmaids bouquets passion for flowers bridesmaids bouquets rustic elegant wedding flowers passion for flowers bridesmaids bouquets rustic elegant wedding flowers passion for flowers (2)

When Leanne made her entrance through the doors everyone was so moved. Just to let you into a little secret the doors were something Leanne had hoped for from the beginning of her planning and David organised for them to be delivered and set up for us to decorate on the day. They made a perfect frame to the ceremony area with a delicate flower garland and crates of flowers.

Shepherds crooks with simple posies lined the aisle and were later used to decorate the outside tables.

We talked about a flower crown and felt it would work beautifully with Leanne’s wedding dress by Claire Pettibone and the relaxed style of her day. The flower crown was Leanne’s crowning glory and one of the many  parts of her day she treasured. I just love the photos on the vespa – we added a surprise posy of flowers to the handlebars.

The barn was full for the wedding breakfast and we used a mix of timeless silver vases and crystal vessels filled with flowers to continue the rustic elegant look. We added elegant candle sticks and a garland of flowers to the top table What a fabulous day they had and a wonderful start to their married life.

Moxhull Hall Wedding Flowers ~ Outdoor Ceremony with Wooden Crates & Tandem Bike

We know spring is in the air when we include ranunculus in our bridal party flowers. Charlie and Ben were looking for a relaxed spring wedding in the wonderful setting of Moxhull Hall. They were blessed with great weather and had a fun filled day complete with outdoor ceremony with wooden crates and a tandem.

In our consultation we highlighted the beautiful Quicksand roses, the most perfect nude tone and Charlotte asked us to design a bridal bouquet with nude roses and her favourite white ranunculus. The bouquet was finished with lace and tied with twine.

The bridesmaids bouquets were simple hand ties of spring white ranunculus, we left jugs in the marquee so these could be used later as part of the table decorations.

One of many couples wedding day wishes is an outdoor ceremony and Moxhull provides a great opportunity for this. We chose to decorate with a stack of rustic crates filled with spring flowers and added flowers to the tandem bike that Ben had sourced.

The Moat House Dorsington Barn Venue ~ Wedding Ceremony Flowers

We were thrilled to be part of a styled shoot at The Moat House Dorsington earlier this year. Robert and Peter from The Moat House were keen to showcase their fabulous new venue and were delighted with the results. Passion for Flowers is looking forward building on our relationship as their preferred wedding florist and creating flowers for their clients. We first met Robert back at The National Wedding Show 18 months ago and are delighted that this wonderful venue is now available for exclusive use for weddings.

For a soft vintage romance bouquet we  chose softest blush pink and deeper toned pink roses hand tied with lace to complement the wonderful wedding gown. If your dress has lots of embellishments then we like to keep the bouquet quite simple and let the flowers speak for themselves.

On of the stunning features The Moat House Dorsington has to offer is its Award Winning Glass Ceremony room. This provides an intimate setting for any wedding ceremony and needs little decoration. For aisle decoration simple glass hurricane lamps, wicker hearts tied on with hessian and for the bride and groom our cute Mr and Mrs Chair Backs.

The ceremony table just needs a grouping of organic glass vases with simple blooms to complete the look. As the seasons change the Glass Ceremony room will open up to spectacular views of the moat and surrounding planting. We can’t wait to see it come to life over the coming months.

Hampton Manor Barn Wedding Venue Solihull {Styled By Passion for Flowers}

The Birches is the newest addition to Hampton Manor, Solihull. The Birches is a wonderful wedding ceremony barn which has recently been renovated and can now hold wedding ceremonies, it sits in the grounds of Hampton Manor. The barn was unveiled in the autumn, see how we styled the barn for rustic weddings and vintage glamour weddings back in October.

Here at Passion for Flowers we were asked to style the barn for Hampton Manor’s latest wedding fair, this time we styled it for a beautiful spring wedding ceremony. We kept to an overall rustic style in keeping with the barn itself and used lovely spring flowers including anemones, ranunculus, narcissus, tulips, hyacinths, succulents, broom and eucalyptus.

This was the perfect opportunity to use our latest find. We recently added this vintage cart to our collection of props (available for Passion for Flowers brides to hire). We added narcissus to the crate and set up the cart outside the barn to welcome guests, it also looks great inside the entrance of the barn too. Wooden Vintage Cart Wedding Flowers Passion for Flowers Within the entrance to the ceremony barn we set up our 12 wooden crates to make shelving. This is great for adding bottles, books, signs and candles to add interest to the room. Hampton Manor now have these crates set up all year so if you have chosen this venue to get married in you can use these for your own wedding styling. Chillington Hall Wedding Flowers ~ Ivory & Dusky Pink Roses with Candelabra Centrepieces

Rachael and Ashley were married in August last year at the stunning Chillington Hall. Chillington Hall is a beautiful Georgian country house in Staffordshire. For their flowers their overall colour scheme was vintage tones of creams and dusky pinks colours, they loved the Sweet Avalanche and Memory Lane roses so we used these throughout their day.

For Rachael’s bridal bouquet we created a hand tied bouquet of roses in dusky pinks and creams, we tied this with satin ivory ribbon with an overlay of lace to tie in with her stunning wedding dress.

Her bridesmaids had small bouquets of ivory Avalanche Roses again tied with ivory ribbon. I love how the bouquets have been captured and what a wonderful setting Chillington Hall is for a truly romantic wedding.

For the wedding ceremony at Chillington we scattered fresh rose petals down either side of the aisle and tied a single rose head to each chair as well as the bride and groom’s chairs. The ceremony took place in The Saloon, with soaring ceilings and a magnificent chandelier so these subtle decorations were all that was needed. For the ceremony table itself we created an arrangement filled with cream and dusky pink roses with eucalyptus to trail.

For the centrepieces in the Marquee at Chillington Rachael loved out large silver candelabra as well as our footed vases. We alternated the tables with each of these. The tall candelabra added wow factor and height to the flowers which were noticed by guests as they entered the marquee and the lower footed bowls added variation. The footed bowls were filled with pearls and had a mix of ivory and dusky pink roses, freesias and eucalyptus. A similar mix of flowers were used in the candelabra.

Around the base of the vases we placed our vintage style silver and glass tea light holders which look stunning when lit as they cast wonderful shadows on the table. chillington hall wedding flowers

Finishing touches included delicate dried lavender for the place settings and the tables were named after places they had visited as a couple, they displayed these in our white footed photo frames. dried lavender napkin decorations weding

For their table plan Rachael and Ashley used our vintage birdcage which we decorated with posies of roses. Rachael  enjoyed planning her romantic wedding and we were delighted to be part of her day. birdcage wedding table plan vintage

The Moat House Dorsington, Recommended Wedding Florist

Here at Passion for Flowers we are thrilled to be the recommended wedding florist at this lovely new wedding venue in Dorsington. Watch the video below to see the venue set up for a rustic wedding. The Moat House is a gorgeous barn set in Warwickshire, close to Stratford on Avon. We were delighted to work with The Moat House and a great team of industry suppliers for two wedding shoots in January, a romantic styled shoot and a rustic styled shoot. We created florals for the bride and groom for both shoots and styled the main house and barn for the rustic shoot.

In the evening guests were invited for a gorgeous dinner at The Moat House and to see how the venue could look for their wedding. The Moat House offers plenty of outside space for photos and we loved using lanterns to line the route for the evening guests. The main part of the house provides a warm welcome for your wedding party and we set up large urns with spring flowers. One of the ceremony spaces is the amazing Glass Room which looked stunning with simple vases on the table.

the moat house rustic wedding flowers centrepieces

As well as the florals we also used a variety of our props from our sister company, The Wedding of my Dreams. The hessian just married bunting looked perfect in this rustic setting hanging from the wooden beams. For the ceremony we styled the chair backs with willow hearts and hessian bows. Mr and Mrs signs hung from the bride and groom’s chairs adding that extra special touch. The natural confetti petals we presented in one of our baskets in individual ‘throw me’ bags. Various signs we positioned around The Moat House, ‘This Way To The I Do’s’ sign directed guests to the ceremony room and Happily Ever After sign was a perfect finishing touch next to the fireplace.

The barn is delightful and looks great with long tables, hessian runners,  lots of blooms in a mix of vessels and vases running the full length of the tables. We chose rustics urns, bark containers, apothecary bottles mixed with some vintage glamour with mercury silver tea lights. Hessian chair backs complete the look with individual place settings in our bud vases.

The posy style bouquet was a mix of narcissi, ranunculus and spring flowers finished with a hessian wrap and we incorporated feathers into the button hole.

Keep a look out for the romantic shoot coming soon and the giant LOVE letters lighting up the ceremony room.

Rustic Wedding Flowers With A Twist Of India

At Passion for Flowers we love rustic wedding flowers, marquee weddings, and wedding ceremonies. We loved working with Vanesha and Guy to create their gorgeous wedding at Wroxall Abbey. The initial ceremony was held inside Wroxall Abbey and Vanesha wanted a rustic English just picked look to her  ceremony flowers. We arranged an eclectic mix of bottles and jars to create this look.

Mythe Barn Wedding ~ Summer Flowers

Charlene and Gareth  tied the knot in August at the lovely Mythe Barn, a great venue for a summer wedding.

Charlene and her bridesmaids carried pretty pink purple summer bouquets with a gorgeous mix of blooms including feathery astilbe, sweet avalanche roses, memory lane roses and dahlia finished with hessian and wooden heart buttons.

Mythe Barn ceremony flowers are perfect to set the scene for a romantic summer wedding. The Barn looks out over lovely gardens and fields. We brought a bit of summer in with the wedding ceremony flowers overflowing with blousy hydrangea, roses, astilbe and dahlias. The large church candle provided romantic candlelight late into the evening when the arrangement was added to the top table.

For Mythe Barn wedding centrepieces we feel that a mixture of high and low centrepieces add a more relaxed look to the day and work perfectly in this large open barn with its country side views. The summer mix of blooms were used in both the tall candelabra and the footed bowls.

New Hall Wedding Flowers ~ Elegant Candelabra, Hydrangeas & Peonies

New Hall is a very elegant setting for a wedding and suited the elegant day that Michelle and Simon were looking for. They were planning a large wedding with family and friends. At Passion for Flowers we loved creating New Hall wedding flowers for such a gorgeous couple.

Photography by Jo Hastings Photography

Michelle wanted a dreamy bridal bouquet and as she was living out of the country at the time of her wedding planning we exchanged ideas by email until she arrived back in England. She had her heart set on a romantic wedding and had been recommended to us by Jo Hastings. Her bouquet was a mix of fluffy hydrangea, scented peonies, lisianthus and a mix of blush pink roses, we love using the large Sweet Avalanche roses with the tighter blooms of the Vendela rose. Jo’s photo in the Rose Garden at New Hall is just so pretty.
