Passion for Flowers featured on whimsical wonderland weddings blog Black And White Bouquets

For these elegant winter bouquets in black and white we used a frothy bunch of white gypsophila with a highlight of black and white anemones for the bridesmaids, these looked stunning against their black dresses. For the bridal bouquet Carli had a hand tied bouquet of honeymoon tulips, honeymoon tulips are beautiful white frilly tulips. These were tied with black satin ribbon to continue the black and white colour scheme.

We kept to a white and silver look for the reception at Mythe Barn. Each table centre was a glavanised silver bucket filled with white hydrangeas and tall white branches. Silver Christmas berries were hanging from the branches and a white heart hung from the buckets. The tables had a mix of mercury silver tea light holders, white fir cones and a silver reindeer holding the table name, the tables were all named after reindeer.

Nude Pink Roses ~ Hampton Manor Wedding Flowers, Solihull

Hampton Manor is one of our regular wedding venues, we really enjoy working with couples getting married at Hampton Manor, the venue is stunning and has many areas to decorate with flowers.

Cathy and Emir were married back in October, they had a stylish navy, cream and nude pink colour scheme. Cathy and her Mum had collected cut crystal glass vases which they wanted to incorporate in the wedding in some way. We worked together with Cathy and Emir to help them achieve the look they were after.

Hampton Manor Wedding Flowers In The Reception Area

To welcome the wedding guests and bring Cathy and Emir’s colour scheme into the reception area we placed small glass vases filled with lovely Sweet Avalanche and Quicksand roses, white lisianthus and eucalyptus on the reception tables. The vases were finished off with white lace and navy ribbon to bring out the colours.

In the bar area we continued the look by placing similar vases and carafes on the fireplaces and tables. In other areas of the bar and reception Cathy had put up some old photos of family members’ weddings which was a great talking point for guests.

For the centrepieces we created a grouping on the tables, these were low and delicate. The central hurricane vase was filled with sand and a candle, this was surrounded by the glassware Cathy and her Mum had been collecting. These ranged from vases and jugs to individual wine glasses. (If you don’t have time to collect these vases yourself, we have a large range of crystal glassware here at Passion for Flowers).

The vases had a mixture of cream Avalanche roses, nude pink Quicksand roses, cream freesias and eucalyptus for scent.

We kept the fireplaces simple with crystal glass vases running along it, each was filled with nude pink roses, cream roses and snippets of eucalyptus with a highlight of blue.

Silver Candelabra Wedding Flowers ~ 4 Different Styles

Our stunning 5 foot tall silver candelabra look amazing at wedding ceremonies, especially if you are having candelabra on your guest tables, it is important to follow the style of decoration on throughout the day. The tall candelabra can look great running down the aisle, say 3 each side or just 2 at the front of the church instead of a traditional church pedestal. They make lovely entrance pieces, either side of a doorway.

If you are using the tall silver candelabra at your wedding ceremony we always suggest moving them to another part of your venue after the ceremony to get the most use out of them, they look stunning either side of a long top table. tall silver candelabra wedding flowers The candelabra can be decorated in a number of different ways, they could have flowers around the top as shown in these photos or we could make a long garland of flowers down the lenght of the candelabra. The choice of flowers we use would reflect the flowers used throughout your wedding day.

We have shown 4 different types of flowers used in our candelabra here, which is your style of flowers? We’d love the hear from you.

Cream Avalanche Rose Bouquet

Back in September my second cousin Karoline married Rich, it was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and everyone looked lovely.

It’s nice for us to actually attend a wedding as a family! We spend all our weekends working, setting up at weddings, making sure the flowers are perfect but it’s rare that we get to attend one and relax!

Karoline had a stunning bouquet of cream Avalanche roses which looked gorgeous with her dress.

Pink Gypsophila Flower Girl Hair Bands

Are you having young flower girls or bridesmaids at your wedding? These hair bands are perfect for young girls, they are easy for them to wear and light weight. We have used snippets of pink gypsophila on this flower girl hair band but we could have used white gypsophila.

It is always nice to let young flower girls have a handbag full of petals for them to sprinkle down the aisle as they walk down.

Grafton Manor Wedding Flowers ~Footed Vases & Candelabra With Purple Wedding Flowers

Grafton Manor Wedding Flowers

Grafton Manor is a beautiful wedding venue set in the Worcestershire countryside, it has it’s own chapel on site and marquee off the main house.  We have worked on a number of weddings at Grafton Manor, this wedding had a purple and lilac colour scheme. For these purple wedding flowers we included purple lisianthus, ocean song roses, a hint of white hydrangeas, purple freesias, astrantia and eucalyptus.

It is often a nice idea to mix table centres, not only does it help on budget but also adds variations throughout the room giving interest to each table.

Footed Vases

These footed vases were filled with a purple and white domed arrangement of white hydrangeas, ocean song roses, lilac lisianthus, freesias, astrantia and eucalyptus. The bowl of the footed vase was filled with pearls to give an elegant look.

For a different look these same vases can be filled with moss to create a rustic / woodland feel or glass cubes for a more elegant / modern look.

Candelabra Centrepieces

We used a gorgeous mix of florals choosing a similar mix of purple flowers to the footed vases. Our silver candelabra are 1m high, this is the best height for table candelabra as the arrangement is above eye level when guests are sitting at the table, there is nothing worse than guests not being able to see across the table if the flowers are in the way. With our candelabra the flowers are well above eye level and create a real wow factor when guests first enter the room.

An Intimate Wedding Ceremony ~ Elegant Wedding Flowers At Nuthurst Grange

Julie and David had an intimate wedding ceremony at Nuthurst Grange, they wanted their wedding flowers in the ceremony barn at Nuthurst to be elegant and impressive.

Wedding ceremonies at Nuthurst take place in the stable barn, the wooden beams and white walls make it a lovely setting.

Wedding Flowers At Nuthurst Grange ~ Ceremony

To create an elegant look for the ceremony we used our stunning silver 1m tall candelabra with a floral arrangement of soft ruscus, Akito roses, lisianthus, snippets of dreamy gypsophila and palest lemon freesia. We placed the candelabra on each end of the registrars table.

Wedding Flowers At Hogarths Solihull ~ Elegant Candelabra Wedding

Rebecca and Steve were married in August, the wedding reception was held at Hogarths Hotel, Solihull, one of our regular wedding venues. The couple were after an elegant and fresh look for their wedding flowers at Hogarths using dusky pink roses mixed with green and a hint of purple.

Wedding Flowers

To create the overall look we used dusky pink amnesia roses, white lisianthus, white freesias, avalanche roses, bright green chrysanthemums and soft ruscus with a touch of gypsophilia and purple veronica.

The Wedding Bouquets

For her bridal bouquet Rebecca was after a delicate trailing bouquet, nothing too long or difficult to hold. We created her trailing shower bouquet with dusky pink amnesia roses, cream avalanche roses and lighter trailing lisianthus and freesia. The adult bridesmaids had simple hand tied bouquets of amnesia roses and the young flower girl’s held a single rose tied with ivory and pearl ribbon.

Wedding Flowers At Hogarths

To create the elegant look for their reception flowers at Hogarths each table had either a tall candelabra or lower footed vase. Having a mix of heights on different tables created interest throughout the room. The tall silver candelabra had a full arrangement  of cream and dusky pink roses with strings of crystals hanging from the arms and chunky church candles to light up the room.

The lower footed vases were filled with glass cubes, the arrangement was a mix of gyp , roses, lisianthus and veronica. For the top table we created a long and low arrangement using a similar mix of flowers, at either end of the top table were the two large silver candelabra which had been moved over from the church.

Black And White Wedding Flowers Hogarths Hotel Solihull

Wedding Flowers Hogarths Hotel

Here at Passion for Flowers we regularly work at Hogarths Hotel, Solihull this beautiful wedding venue has an outdoor area where couples can get married (weather permitting). Helen and Gary were married back in July and were lucky enough to have their wedding ceremony outside. They were after a black and white colour scheme for their wedding which we followed through with their wedding flowers and décor.

Wedding Bouquets, White Peonies

To add a hint of black to her bouquet we tied the wrap with white and a touch of black ribbon. The bridesmaids had smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony On The Island At Hogarths

Hogarths has a wonderfully unique island set in the grounds of the hotel, this island creates a woodland setting for an outdoor ceremony. Helen and Gary did a lot of the details themselves for this wedding, hanging white ribbons from trees which looked lovely as they moved about in the breeze and a mix of lanterns hanging from branches. The flower girls walked over the bridge in front of the bride scattering fresh rose petals as she walked onto the island.

Wedding Reception Flowers At Hogarths

Inside at Hogarths we created a simple yet elegant look. Around the base of the crystal glass candelabra was a ring of all white wedding flowers. We used a mix of white carnations and white garden roses with black berries throughout. Each guest had a slate coaster on their place setting with a white love bird, the guests name was written on a mini luggage tag tied to the tail. The table plan, cake and menu cards kept to the black and white style with thin black ribbon detailing.

Running along the front of the top table were larger slate tiles each with a small square vase with white and black ribbon detailing. The vases were filled with stunning white scented peonies. black and white wedding flowers white peonies centre piece on slate At Passion for Flowers we make sure each of our weddings are different to one another and reflect the bride and groom, we encourage our couples to get involved as much as possible in the details. Pale Pink Nude Roses ~ An Elegant Wedding At Hampton Manor

Wedding Flowers At Hampton Manor

Hampton Manor in Solihull is one of our regular venues, being only 10 minutes from where we are based we work there many times each year. Although we work there a lot, most of our weddings are completely different to one another and we love working with our brides and grooms to style their flowers just for them.

Elizabeth and Trevor loved the palest pink, almost nude colour roses for their wedding flowers. To tie in to the venue they went for an elegant but simple style for their wedding flowers. All the tables had a silver candelabra with a mix of nude toned roses in the arrangement.

The large mirrors at either end of the Mawson Room reflect the candelabra and candle light beautifully, each table had mocha rose petals scattered over it and napkins and menus were tied with dusky pink toned ribbon.
