Barnsley House Wedding Flowers ~ White, Blush & Mercury Silver Glass

We just love Barnsley House wedding flowers and we delighted to be asked to be the wedding florist for a gorgeous wedding on 1 May. I had the good fortune of meeting Annalise and Pez earlier this spring to finalise arrangements for their intimate wedding celebrations at Barnsley House.

For the day Annalise chose creamy whites and soft blush tones for her wedding flowers. Pez’s button hole had a touch of spray rose and eucalyptus to tie in with the bridal bouquet.

When I first saw photos of the gorgeous dresses the young girls would be wearing I just knew that the dreamy flower girl pomanders would look stunning. Their soft blush pink dresses had a blousy rose and they all enjoyed their day so much. I’ll let you into a little secret here, when collecting the urns the next day the girls had chosen to wear their dresses for their breakfast and still looked just as cute!

Annalise had discussed her stunning dress with me and chose a blousy rose and scented peony bouquet with touches of eucalyptus. The look was timeless and so so elegant.

At Barnsley House we created an elegant timeless setting for the indoor ceremony, the large urns brought the feeling of a garden setting filled with hydrangea, peonies and roses. The aisle was lined with elegant silver lanterns filled with fresh rose petals. The gardens beckoned for a few photos after the ceremony just before the heavens opened again but nothing could dampen the spirits of this happy couple.

Candles and mercury silver created the elegant centrepieces for this Barnsley House wedding. The huge mirror and fireplace overflowing with candles and candlesticks set a romantic look and feel to the room. The centrepieces continued this elegant look with a mix of candlesticks, silver footed bowls and mercury silver vases and vessels filled with scented roses and peonies. I love the freshness of the rosemary tucked into each place setting.

Moxhull Hall Wedding Flowers ~ Outdoor Ceremony with Wooden Crates & Tandem Bike

We know spring is in the air when we include ranunculus in our bridal party flowers. Charlie and Ben were looking for a relaxed spring wedding in the wonderful setting of Moxhull Hall. They were blessed with great weather and had a fun filled day complete with outdoor ceremony with wooden crates and a tandem.

In our consultation we highlighted the beautiful Quicksand roses, the most perfect nude tone and Charlotte asked us to design a bridal bouquet with nude roses and her favourite white ranunculus. The bouquet was finished with lace and tied with twine.

The bridesmaids bouquets were simple hand ties of spring white ranunculus, we left jugs in the marquee so these could be used later as part of the table decorations.

One of many couples wedding day wishes is an outdoor ceremony and Moxhull provides a great opportunity for this. We chose to decorate with a stack of rustic crates filled with spring flowers and added flowers to the tandem bike that Ben had sourced.

The Moat House Dorsington Wedding Shoot ~ Rustic Spring Reception Flowers Long Tables

As the preferred wedding florist for The Moat House Dorsington we loved being part of a creative shoot to showcase this stunning new venue. The Moat House Dorsington is a stylists dream and offers a great backdrop for the perfect wedding day. We created a rustic styled wedding shoot with long tables full of spring flowers and a mix of vessels and vases that felt natural in the barn.

Our favourite bouquets are natural in style and are created and designed to showcase the flowers, we love working with seasonal blooms and so for this rustic spring bridal bouquet we combined scented narcissi, soft ranunculus, spring tulips, grey brunia balls and nigella seed heads for texture with blush pink lisianthus for a touch of colour and foliage from the garden. The bouquet was finished with a hessian wrap and trailing hand dyed silk ribbon with a soft blush tone.

Olivia our model loved the flowers and rustic styling so much she has booked us for her wedding next year.

For a rustic spring button hole we combined ranunculus, lisianthus, nigella seed heads, pieris and feathers for a touch of whimsy, all finished with twine. The button hole looked just perfect with the groom’s outfit from Clement & Church. We love to be imaginative when we deliver our wedding flowers and the button holes suited one of our rustic tree slices.

The Moat House Dorsington is offered for exclusive use weddings and the large entrance hall with its stunning fireplace is a great place for photographs. These rustic stone urns with a large spring arrangement of eucalyptus, pussy willow, tulips and lisianthus provided a warm welcome.

As guests enter the barn for the reception make sure to add a touch of dressing, the bay tree with a welcome sign sat on a rustic wooden crate is just right.

We love being creative with escort cards and our A frame ladders are a great place to display apothecary bottles with blooms and a tag with the guests name and table number on. Guests can then pick up the bottle and find their seat. At Passion for Flowers we have a great collection of props including vintage bottles, and hand selected pieces for all our couples to hire.

The Moat House Dorsington offers a flexible space for your wedding reception. For this shoot we worked with long guest tables with rustic chic spring flowers. If you are using long guests tables the key is to add lots of interesting vases and vessels. We added hessian runners and hessian chair backs to keep the rustic feel to the barn. On the windowsills around the barn vintage books, candles and tea lights in bark containers and spring flowers completed the look.

Along the tables we added an assortment of rustic centrepieces bark containers with spring flowers, vintage pots, terracotta plant pots with succulents, wooden boxes planted with succulents and moss and lots of apothecary bottles. For a chic look we added vintage brooches to some of the bottles. Books were used to add height to some of the arrangements and give a sense of unity to the tables.

Mercury silver tea lights added a touch of candle light and each place setting had a favour, a rustic wooden heart or a thank you bag. Individual bud vases can be used as place names.

New Years Eve Glamour Wedding | White, Grey & Gold Wedding Flowers

I first met Amy at the Rock My Wedding Pop Up Shop last year when Lolly introduced us and knew we would be able to help her with her plans for a gorgeous New Years Eve Wedding. Amy and Huw were married in the seclusion of St Paul’s Convent, bringing back lovely memories for her family, and the couple were welcomed with open arms.

The ceremony in the chapel was followed by a sumptuous dinner and party at Edgbaston Golf Club where we helped Amy create a glamorous look for her New Years Eve wedding celebrations.

Flowers were very important to Amy and she wanted a bouquet to suit her elegant lace wedding gown. The bouquet was a mix of white, ivory and gold with touches of green from the eucalyptus. We included touches of gold with hydrangea, artichoke heads and bitter balls perfect with  creamy hydrangea, roses and lisianthus all finished with a luxe gold wrap to the stems.

Amy had chosen her bridesmaids dresses with a glamour wedding in mind, the girls had wonderful gold dresses and we teamed these with hand tied bouquets of creamy flowers with accents of gold.

Later in the evening Amy planned a surprise when she changed her veil and head dress for a delicate flower crown. I think even Lolly was a little envious of the flower crown. We always love delivering the bridal party flowers on the day when everyone is getting ready and were delighted that Amy was so happy with her flowers.

Huw and the men had button holes of ivory roses with grey dusty miller. The stems were delicately covered with gold ribbon to tie in with the girls bouquets.

Flowers in the chapel were a very important part of Amy and Huw’s day and we enjoyed visiting St Paul’s to discuss details together. Hurricane lamps lined the route through the cloisters and down the aisle and provided the candlelight the couple wanted. Eucalyptus in the pew ends added a lovely winter aroma in the chapel.

For the ceremony we added to the candlelight with large silver candelabra with creamy white flowers and touches of gold and green, the chapel looked resplendent for such a joyous occasion.

With the wedding on New Year’s Eve Amy and Huw wanted to create a glamorous party feel to their wedding celebrations. The gold chairs set the tone and a highlight was the full length garland of flowers to the top table. Mounds of cream hydrangea, roses and touches of gold hydrangea, artichoke heads and grey foliage worked perfectly and as soon as the candles were light the room was ready for Amy and Huw to welcome their family and friends.

Amy and her mum had fun collecting vintage rose bowls, silver candelabra and silver rose bowls for the the guest tables. We loved filling them with gold, cream and grey flowers to continue the glamour look to their New Year’s Eve wedding celebration. A touch of whimsy was added by Amy and Huw, the napkins were in the shape of their pet rabbit Flapjack, who had a special visit from Amy and Huw before they arrived at their reception.

Hampton Manor Barn Wedding Venue Solihull {Styled By Passion for Flowers}

The Birches is the newest addition to Hampton Manor, Solihull. The Birches is a wonderful wedding ceremony barn which has recently been renovated and can now hold wedding ceremonies, it sits in the grounds of Hampton Manor. The barn was unveiled in the autumn, see how we styled the barn for rustic weddings and vintage glamour weddings back in October.

Here at Passion for Flowers we were asked to style the barn for Hampton Manor’s latest wedding fair, this time we styled it for a beautiful spring wedding ceremony. Compton Verney Wedding Flowers ~ Crystal Glass & Stone Urns

During the summer we worked on a beautiful wedding at Compton Verney, it was an elegant white wedding with wow factor stone urns and delicate crystal glass vases along the length of long tables. Compton Verney offers a stunning blank canvas for weddings so almost anything can be done with the venue.

Katie and Chris had their wedding ceremony and reception at Compton Verney, it really is a beautiful setting for a wedding, make sure you check it out if you are looking for wedding venues in Warwickshire

We kept the ceremony decoration very simple letting the room speak for itself, on the end of each chair down the aisle we tied a cream rose head. On the ceremony table itself we created a grouping of crystal glass decanters, vases, bowls and cake plates, these are all finds from various charity shops. Along the large window sills that run along one side of the room we also placed crystal vases and containers. These glass vases were all filled with delicate white flowers, from a mix of white hydrangeas, cream roses, cream freesias, blush pink roses, ranunculus and dill.

Blush Pink Bridal Bouquets & Lily Of The Valley Buttonhole

Here at Passion for Flowers we love blush pink bridal bouquets at the moment. Hayley and Adam chose blush pink flowers for their wedding to tie in with their vintage tea party inspired wedding at Dunsley Hall. Hayley was after a relaxed style handtied bouquet with a mix of blush pink and creamy white flowers, we used flowers with lots of texture to add to the relaxed look.

For the bridal bouquet we used a mix of blush pink ranunculus, blush pink lisianthus, wax flower, black and white anemones, wizard of oz dahlias, white astilbe for the feather texture and white lilac for a lovely scent. The bouquet was tied with ivory satin ribbon and trailing soft pink narrow ribbon.

Hanging Bottles From Trees ~ Wedding Flowers

This summer has seen a lot of this! For our outdoor weddings this summer we have spent time decorating the outdoor spaces, we have decorated a number of different spaces in different ways. Hanging bottles from trees filled with pretty roses and other blooms have been a popular choice with our couples.

hanging bottles from trees at weddingsWe have hung apothecary bottles from branches of trees, some couples have used them as decorations, other have used them as a giant wish tree, asking guests to write them a wish on a luggage tag and tie it around the neck of a bottle.

One of our brides had her childhood swing refurbished, it hung from a tree in her parents’ garden and we hung bottles around it.
