Mythe Barn Wedding Flowers ~ Hydrangeas, Roses & Wooden Swings

MYTHE BARN WEDDING FLOWERS

Mythe Barn is one of our favourite barn venues and when Sarah and Farren asked us to do their wedding flowers we knew it was just the sort of wedding we would love to work on.

WHITE HYDRANGEA & ROSE BOUQUET

Our bride wanted the most romantic of bouquets to be the perfect match to her wedding gown. A mix of garden O Hara roses, scented freesias and softest hydrangea blooms creating the look.

PEACH BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS

The bridesmaids bouquets were stunning hand tied bouquets of peach David Austin roses, soft blush bombastic roses with hints of gypsophila and daisies for a summery look.

For the men’s button holes we used peach David Austin (Juliet Roses) with a touch of daisy to tie in with the bridesmaids and for Farren the groom, we made a button hole using a white O Hara garden rose and gypsophila to tie in with his bride.

WOODEN SWING AT MYTHE BARN

Our favourite part of this wedding, and one of Sarah’s we know, was this beautiful wooden swing, it had been hand made with love by Sarah’s Dad. The swing looked stunning hanging at Mythe Barn and we decorated the sides with delicate ivy, pearls and roses. This was a first for Mythe Barn and was a great photo spot.

Large Bright Wedding Bouquets ~ Pink Yellow GreenTulips

Don’t be afraid of adding bright bold colours into your wedding palette. We love this over sized bright wedding bouquet we created for a Rock My Wedding love inspired shoot. Tulips are perfect if you are wanting to add colour to your spring wedding, they come in a beautiful mix of colours, here we used different shades of pink and yellow tulips with their vibrant green leaves adding colour too. Large over-sized bouquets are becoming more and more popular with our brides. Love the shot of the bouquet in front of the bride’s face.

Liz and Chris wanted a relaxed look and feel to their day with just picked flowers , we agreed on baby’s breath, lisianthus, lavender, peonies, dahlia, daisies, veronica and scabious. Apothecary bottles, jam jars and rustic containers all played their part in this gorgeous wedding day.

HAMPTON MANOR WEDDING FLOWERS – RUSTIC OUTDOOR CEREMONY

Outdoor wedding ceremony Hampton Manor

The outdoor ceremony took place in the grounds of Hampton Manor, Liz and her bridesmaids came down the steps from the Clock Tower. This was a first for Hampton Manor but created a truly magical moment. The setting was created under the acer trees, we hung lights and bottles from the trees to create a gorgeous backdrop to their romantic ceremony. Chris and his team hung a canopy between the trees and the ceremony was conducted around the old oak barrel set amongst logs collected from the Hampton Manor estate.

Jam jars and rustic buckets over flowing with flowers were set on the steps and around the ceremony to create a rustic just picked look.  The apothecary bottles created a gorgeous backdrop for these romantic photos.

The bridal bouquet was a just picked mix of seasonal flowers including scabious, veronica, lavender, lisianthus and astrantia with peonies, hand tied with love. Liz’s bridesmaids carried a smaller posy of flowers to tie into her just picked bouquet. Her hair was beautifully styled, the hairdresser added snippets of soft delicate blooms to finish her romantic look.

Colourful Country Garden Wedding Flowers ~ Peonies, Hydrangeas, Hessian & Twine

Isobel and Ed were married in May this year, the ceremony was held at Princethorpe College and then on to Park Farm in Upper Shuckburgh for the reception. The couple were after a country garden rustic inspired wedding with pretty flowers, hessian, twine, fruit crates and straw bales.

Read more about their wedding below and scroll down to see beautiful photos from Anna Clarke Photography

COUNTRY GARDEN WEDDING FLOWERS

At our consultation we highlighted a number of flowers which we would use throughout the day, these included peonies, hydrangeas in cream, pink and blue, avalanche and sweet avalanche roses, wax flower, gyposphila with eucalyptus. The choice of flowers offered a great mix of soft rounded shapes and texture for contrast to create the country garden rustic look they were after.

COUNTRY GARDEN BRIDAL BOUQUET

Isobel’s bridal bouquet was a handtied mix of country garden flowers, she had beautiful pink peonies, white peonies, blush pink roses with highlights of wax flower, gypsophila and astilbe. We used an off cut of lace from her dress to wrap the handle of the bouquet so it tied in with her dress perfectly, pinned onto the bouquet handle was a stunning brooch that belonged to her Granny.

COLOURFUL BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS

The bridesmaids wore colourful dresses, all six bridesmaids had a different coloured dress which worked well for this relaxed style of wedding. For each bridesmaid we created a bouquet which complimented her dress. The bouquets were all made from a mix of hydrangeas and roses with extra foliage and flowers for textures, we used different colours of hydrangeas and roses for each of the girls. The bouquet handles were all wrapped with hessian and raffia to create a relaxed country feel.

COUNTRY GARDEN WEDDING FLOWERS IN THE MARQUEE

At Park Farm there was a lovely set up of tipis, hay bales covered in cosy blankets and the main marquee to welcome guests. We focused our floral decorations in the main marquee.
marquee teepee wedding flowers

The marquee was filled with colourful country bunting strung from the roof with paper pom poms and lanterns hanging down at various points, this created a real wow factor was guests walked into the marquee for the first time. On the tables we laid out our hessian runners and squares of hessian over the linen cloths to create more interest. country garden wedding flowers in marquee bunting hessian table runners The top table had a central arrangement which sat in front of the bride and groom, running along the length of the table were a mix of bottles filled with flowers of the day. The bride and her bridesmaids wanted to get involved with decorating so did these bottles themselves as well as hanging up hearts around the marquee and other finishing touches.

The guest tables had a country rustic cream jug placed on a hessian square, we used a mix of hydrangeas, wax flower, peonies, roses, gyp and eucalyptus in these which smelt divine. We tied raffia around the jugs which the table number was pegged onto. Isobel had collected candles and tea lights to scatter around the tables.

We made Isobel and Ed’s wedding table plan from white washed wooden crates which we hung small silver buckets from and filled with peonies, roses and wax flower. Each bucket represented a different table and had a list of the guests names tied to the front of it.

Natural Wedding flowers At the Bell Tanworth in Arden {Hessian, Twine & Wooden Tree slices}

Charlotte and Chirs were married in May this year, their wedding was held at Tanworth in Arden Church and then the reception over the road at The Bell country pub. Charlotte and Chirs wanted a relaxed feeling to their wedding with a country look using natural wedding flowers.

Natural Wedding Bouquet

For Charlotte’s bridal bouquet we created a natural just picked style bouquet using purple lisianthus, purple veronica, white peonies, astrantia, lavender, scented freesias, lavender, craspedia and eucalyptus. Charlotte’s bouquet handle was wrapped with an off cut of lace from her wedding dress. The overall look was a relaxed, purple, white and yellow bouquet which reflected the style for the whole wedding.

The bridesmaids had a lovely round bouquet of white gypsophila, tied with a hessian wrap and finished off with a bit of sparkle from the brooches bought by Charlotte.

For the button holes and corsages we made a mix of different button holes all using flowers from the day so they tied in. We used craspedia, astilbe, rosemary, lavender, freesias, gypsophila and ranunculus. Each button hole stem was tied with rustic twine.

At the entrance to Tanworth in Arden Church are two old gates, the guests walk past these gates before they enter the church. We tied two hand tied bunches to the church gates to welcome guests. Within the church we hung pew ends from the pews and created large natural arrangements in giant silver milk churns which belonged to Charlotte. They looked stunning at the front of the church.

For the reception Charlotte, Chris and their guests walked over the road to The Bell, a lovely country pub which they had exclusive use of.

pub wedding venue The wedding table plan was made from wooden crates and blackboard buckets filled with potted herbs. These are all available from our sister company The Wedding of my Dreams, see our step buy step guide showing how to make a blackboard bucket table plan. blackboard bucket wedding table plan For the guest tables we ran hessian runners down the length of the tables, Charlotte and Chis had been collecting a range of different recycled glass bottles, ink wells and tiny mercury silver vases we filled these with delicate flowers and placed on top of wooden tree slices for the table centres. The table number cards were displayed in our rustic heart table card holders and placed in one of the larger bottles.

Charlotte and Chis had a great idea for their guests place names, they used scrabble letters and took polaroid photos of their guests names next to something that represented that guest! These polaroids were placed on each guests place setting and they could take them home as a lovely reminder of the wedding.

Yellow Wedding Flowers ~ Yellow Bouquets & Buttonholes

This post is all about yellow wedding flowers! Don’t be shy of adding colour to your wedding flowers, especially for spring and summer weddings adding bright colours can really work well. These flowers were taken from Jenny and Dave’s wedding – see more of their Packington Moor wedding here.

Yellow wedding flowers

Jenny’s bridal bouquet was a scrumptious mix of yellow and white flowers with a hint of bright green wrapped in her grandma’s lace. Here we have created a hand tied bridal bouquet of yellow ranunculus, white honeymoon tulips, yellow tulips, craspedia (billy ballls), daisies and bupleurum to create a just picked look.

Flower Girl Pomander

For her gorgeous flower girl Millie we made a pomander from white gypsophilia with lace to hang. Pomanders are often easier for young flower girls to hold rather than posies and can look pretty hanging from their chair back when they want to put them down.

flower girl pomander gypsophilia flower girl lace dress Random Mix Of Spring Button Boles

We made a mix of different button holes, all were spring flowers in either yellow or white or both the stems were finished off with twine, lace or yellow gingham ribbon. Having a mix of button holes is a nice idea for a relaxed informal wedding, they can then choose the button hole they like the best. We used a mix of white ranunculus, yellow ranunculus, white tulips, yellow billy balls (craspedia), daisies and gypsophilia. Brown luggage tags are a great way to display the names of who is having a button hole, it stops any confusion the morning of the wedding.
