Passion for Flowers featured on Love My Dress Spring Yellow Bridal Bouquet

For Jenny’s bridal bouquet we kept to a just picked, loose style hand tied bouquet to reflect the rustic style of Packington Moor Farm. Her bouquet was a mix of yellow and white spring flowers including honeymoon tulips, daisies, yellow tulips, yellow ranunculus, white ranunculus as well as black and white anemones. The bouquet was finished off with a lace wrap.

Flower Girl Pomander

For her gorgeous flower girl Millie we made a pomander from white gypsophilia with lace to hang. Pomanders are often easier for young flower girls to hold rather than posies and can look pretty hanging from their chair back when they want to put them down.

We made a mix of different button holes, all were spring flowers in either yellow or white or both the stems were finished off with twine, lace or yellow gingham ribbon. Having a mix of button holes is a nice idea for a relaxed informal wedding, they can then choose the button hole they like the best. We used a mix of white ranunculus, yellow ranunculus, white tulips, yellow billy balls (craspedia), daisies and gypsophilia. Brown luggage tags are a great way to display the names of who is having a button hole, it stops any confusion the morning of the wedding.

For these elegant winter bouquets in black and white we used a frothy bunch of white gypsophila with a highlight of black and white anemones for the bridesmaids, these looked stunning against their black dresses. For the bridal bouquet Carli had a hand tied bouquet of honeymoon tulips, honeymoon tulips are beautiful white frilly tulips. These were tied with black satin ribbon to continue the black and white colour scheme.

We kept to a white and silver look for the reception at Mythe Barn. Each table centre was a glavanised silver bucket filled with white hydrangeas and tall white branches. Silver Christmas berries were hanging from the branches and a white heart hung from the buckets. The tables had a mix of mercury silver tea light holders, white fir cones and a silver reindeer holding the table name, the tables were all named after reindeer.

 What did we make?

We were featured in the pink section and chose to create a mix of arrangements with soft pink / peach tones running throughout, we used lovely spring blossom, broom and amni for a light airy feel.

On the left you can see our footed bowl filled with an arrangement of Juliet, Kiera and Sweet Avalanche rose as well as ranunculus, tulips, broom, grass, amni and blossom. Finished off with our mini domes (available to buy from The Wedding of my Dreams).

For the bouquet we made a hand tied bouquet of the same mix of flowers as above, tied with vintage lace and a heart pendant. The napkin is a sprig of pink broom tied with ballet pink satin ribbon. Our button hole completes the look, we used a Kiera rose, soft pink ranunculus and broom.

wedding flowers magazine purple flowers by Passion for Flowers Our table centre was a gorgeous domed arrangement on our silver mirrored cake stand using a mix of lilac and purple flowers. We used Ocean Song and Memory Lane roses, astrantia, lisianthus, wax flower and ivory berries.

To tie in with the table centres we designed a purple lilac bridal bouquet with a similar mix of flowers, finished off by tying purple twine around the stems and a vintage key. The cute button hole is a Memory Lane rose with a snippet of astrantia and ivory berries, tied with twine and a scrabble heart. wedding flowers magazine purple flowers by Passion for Flowers 2 We also gave our advice for preserving flowers, read the article in full if you are looking for ways to preserve your flowers after your wedding. Rock My Boutique

It’s almost here! Rock My Boutique… Rock My Wedding’s newest venture, their shop. Rock My Boutique launches Monday 5th November and we can’t wait. We’ve worked closely with the Rock My Wedding team a number of times now, at The National Wedding Show as well as their EPIC Pretty Naughty Party.

rock my boutique  When the email landed in our inbox asking if we would do the florals for their RMB AW12 Campaign we squealed a little, ok a lot. The mood boards started coming through from Charlotte and we could tell the whole shoot was going to be incredible. Adam made a swing to hang above the table which we dressed with ivy trailing down towards the table, as well as amni, poppy seed heads, bunia and eucalyptus pods. We took along our slate tiles to make a table runner and filled up their tin cans with tulips, ranunculus, amni and cotton.

Pretty Naughty Party Rock My Wedding

Well it’s been a very busy summer for us here at Passion for Flowers, we have seen our fair share of beautiful weddings and events. So busy in fact, we haven’t found much time to blog all the pretty we have been seeing, this means we’ve got a lot stored up and should be making its way to the blog shortly.

We thought we’d start with the wedding event of the year, Rock My Wedding hosted their amazing Pretty Naughty Party back in September, no doubt you’ve read all about it on their blog. From the catwalk, to the bike shed and the launch of Rock My Shop the whole event was a huge success. We loved being a part of it!
