Wedding Flowers: Lilac and Cream Summer Wedding Flowers at Mallory Court

At Passion for Flowers we love working with brides who have a clear idea of the colours they love.Claire was no exception and was inspired by wedding flowers in lilac, cream and purples to create a gorgeous summer look. Her groom Richard and the male members of the bridal party wore kilts so we added a hint of heather and used thistles for the button holes. We loved creating her summer bouquet of lilac and cream wedding flowers captured by Rob and Sarah Gillespie.

The bridal bouquet was a delicate mix of summer blooms in creams and lilacs to create a delicate summer mixed bridal bouquet perfect with Claire’s gorgeous chiffon Sassi Holford dress.

bridesmaids bouquet purples and lilac The bridesmaids bouquets had deeper tones of purple and lilac to contrast with their bridesmaids dresses. The mix of flowers was all part of the palette of soft lilac and purple colours we had agreed for the wedding day.

The corsages were a delicate mix of lisianthus and freesia continuing the lilac and purple wedding colours.lilac and purple corsage The wedding reception was at one of our favourite Warwickshire venues, Mallory Court. Gypsophilia, Baby’s Breath, Million Stars {Flower Friday}

At Passion for Flowers we love the softness of gypsophilia also well known as baby’s breath and million stars. Gypsophilia is perfect if you are looking for white wedding flowers, it can be used on its own or mixed with other flowers.

Why use gypsophilia in your wedding flowers?

As a wedding flower gyspohilia is great for filling large arrangements.As it is so cost effective gypsophilia looks great used en masse.This gorgeous wedding  bouquet had a big bunch of dreamy gypsophilia and eucalyptus making a great summer bouquet. The softness of the grey green eucalyptus works well in the groom’s button hole to finish the look.

Alternatively at Passion for Flowers we like teaming gypsophilia with white avalanche in bridal bouquets, especially if the bride has chosen a lace trimmed dress as the delicate flowers look like lace.
