Kilworth House Wedding {Elegant Wedding Flowers}

Kilworth House Wedding

Back in April we worked on a stunning Kilworth House wedding.The tone of the day was soft romantic and elegant which we reflected in our choice of flowers. Having met with Jennie at Kilworth House earlier in the year, we decided soft pink and pastel toned roses would be perfect in the orangery with the gorgeous glass ceiling and exposed brick work.

The ceremony took place in an idyllic country church near to Kilworth House, we used glass footed bowls filled with pearls in the base and soft pink pastel roses in the arrangement. With a highlight of eucalyptus and astrantia for texture.

To continue the elegant look in the country church one of our 5′ silver candelabra was positioned at the front. Again the elegant pastel pink roses and soft peach roses were used mixed with grey green eucalyptus.

The tradition is that the groom should wear a rose that could have been picked from the bride’s bouquet, so these roses were included in Jennie’s bouquet too.elegant rose button holeFor the bride we created an elegant hand tied bouquet. Using soft pastel pink roses, soft peach roses, astrantia and gyp tied with lace. This is one of our signature styles here at Passion for Flowers… simple and elegant.

On to Kilworth House! At Passion for Flowers we love working a unique venues and Kilworth House wedding’s certainly have a unique look to them. The reception took place in the Orangery a beautiful room with rural views and natural light flooding in.
To keep an elegant wedding look in the orangery we used a mix of table centres. Half the tables had our silver candelabra with full arrangements of roses, astrantia and eucalyptus.wedding flowers kilworth houseFor the other guest tables we used our stylish silver and glass footed bowls, with pearls in the base and a similar mix of flowers, a group of vintage tea light holders on these tables would give these tables a soft romantic look as the evening drew in.
For the long top table we used a mix of the soft pink roses and soft peach toned roses, with elegant pearls draped through the arrangement. Either side of this we had glass bottles with single stem roses and tea lights along the tables.

From The Wedding of my Dreams Jennie had bought a number of signs and put them up around the venue, especially love the use of the Happily Ever After Sign by their guest book.

Wedding Flowers: Lilac and Cream Summer Wedding Flowers at Mallory Court

At Passion for Flowers we love working with brides who have a clear idea of the colours they love.Claire was no exception and was inspired by wedding flowers in lilac, cream and purples to create a gorgeous summer look. Her groom Richard and the male members of the bridal party wore kilts so we added a hint of heather and used thistles for the button holes. We loved creating her summer bouquet of lilac and cream wedding flowers captured by Rob and Sarah Gillespie.

lilac and cream bridal bouquet

The bridal bouquet was a delicate mix of summer blooms in creams and lilacs to create a delicate summer mixed bridal bouquet perfect with Claire’s gorgeous chiffon Sassi Holford dress.

bridesmaids bouquet purples and lilac The bridesmaids bouquets had deeper tones of purple and lilac to contrast with their bridesmaids dresses. The mix of flowers was all part of the palette of soft lilac and purple colours we had agreed for the wedding day.

The corsages were a delicate mix of lisianthus and freesia continuing the lilac and purple wedding colours.lilac and purple corsage The wedding reception was at one of our favourite Warwickshire venues, Mallory Court. The room looked stunning with tall silver candelabra with wonderful wedding flowers in  creams and lilacs. At Passion for Flowers we love the soft backdrop for a romantic wedding.wedding candelabra lilac and creamAn elegant top table arrangement with glass hurricane vases and church candles was created with a soft garland wrapped in voile. The wedding flowers were lilac and cream roses, gypsophilia and lisianthus. For brides wanting a stunning effect place a candelabra at  either end of the top table. Wow!top table garland lilac and cream wedding flowers

At Passion for Flowers we love the work of wedding photographers Rob and Sarah Gillespie – they captured our bride and groom and their lilac and cream summer wedding perfectly. Thank you xx

Gypsophilia, Baby’s Breath, Million Stars {Flower Friday}

At Passion for Flowers we love the softness of gypsophilia also well known as baby’s breath and million stars. Gypsophilia is perfect if you are looking for white wedding flowers, it can be used on its own or mixed with other flowers.

white bouquets gypsophilia babys breath

Why use gypsophilia in your wedding flowers?

As a wedding flower gyspohilia is great for filling large arrangements.As it is so cost effective gypsophilia looks great used en masse.This gorgeous wedding  bouquet had a big bunch of dreamy gypsophilia and eucalyptus making a great summer bouquet. The softness of the grey green eucalyptus works well in the groom’s button hole to finish the look.

Alternatively at Passion for Flowers we like teaming gypsophilia with white avalanche in bridal bouquets, especially if the bride has chosen a lace trimmed dress as the delicate flowers look like lace.

candelabra wedding centrepieces with gypsophilia

At Passion for Flowers our brides love making a statement with silver wedding candelabra for their wedding centrepieces. Gypsophilia gives softness and texture to the wedding flowers.

Gypsophilia is very on trend for classic white weddings and as seen here looks amazing as the only flower at your wedding. We love the topiary trees and extravagant centrepieces filled only with gypsophilia. This simple understated flower can have a real WOW factor when used en masse.

To end at Passion for Flowers we just had to share this image captured by the Barbers of a summer vintage tea party with tall candelabra with blue hydrangeas, herbs and a mix of vintage roses. The tones picked up by bunting by the bride’s family and soft pashminas on the chairs.  What a great alternative to chair covers!

Hope we have inspired you with our hydrangeas
