Blush Pink & White Wedding Flowers ~ Late Summer Wedding The Bell, Alderminster

Blush Pink & White Wedding Flowers

Cat and Tom were married last September at Snitterfield Church and then onto The Bell at Alderminster. The look they were going for was a palette of very light blush pink, grey and ivory whites. These colours toned perfectly with the suits, bridesmaids dresses and the décor at The Bell. For these blush pink and white wedding flowers we agreed on creamy white hydrangeas, avalanche roses, sweet avalanche and quicksand roses with eucalyptus.

The Bridal Bouquet

Cat’s bouquet was a large hand tied bouquet of avalanche roses, sweet avalanche roses and quicksand roses, with highlights of grey brunia balls and astrantia with snippets of eucalyptus. We used gorgeous white lace which was an off cut from her wedding dress to wrap the bouquet and left long ribbons hanging down the stems.

The bridesmaids each had a smaller bouquet of white hydrangeas, roses grey brunia balls and eucalyptus which looked stunning against their grey dresses. Again we left long lengths of ribbon to hang down.

This was lovely for us to see as we had just decided to get Jessie our Cockapooo puppy.

Country Style Wedding Flowers At Hidcote Manor

In July we worked with Sarah and David to help with their wedding flowers at Hidcote. Hidcote Manor Gardens is a wonderful National Trust property in the north Cotswolds. A small chapel on site means the ceremony and reception can all take place at the one location, the wedding marquee is set in the beautiful gardens.

The overall look was to be natural looking to suit the garden setting at Hidcote. The grounds are gorgeous and so the flowers for the day were concentrated on the bridal party bouquets and an assortment of mixed more delicate and smaller arrangements on the long tables for the wedding breakfast.

White Wedding Bouquets

We chose all white flowers for this wedding, using a mix of textures and sizes using inspiration from the gardens at Hidcote and including some of the same flowers. The bridal bouquet was a country style mix of astilbe, lisianthus, scabious, astrantia, veronica and dill. The bouquet was tied elegantly with lace which looked stunning with her dress from the Vintage Wedding Dress Company. All the bridesmaids had smaller versions of the same bouquet which set off their pewter dresses.

We decorated the small chapel at Hidcote with a mix of vintage crystal glassware, dainty jugs and bottles filled with country style white flowers, similar to the mix used in the bouquets. The jars and containers were spread out along the stone windowsills, registry table, and other tables around the chapel. Keeping to all one colour gave a fresh looks as guests entered.

In the marquee Sarah and David chose to have long guest tables to create a relaxed feel to the day. To keep the rustic / country style feel we laid each table with long hessian runners. Down the runners we placed a mix of crystal glassware of varying heights and sizes. We have scoured charity shops for most of these crystal items and have them available to hire if we do your flowers. Mirrored cake stands were used along the tables to give some height and of course tea lights were scattered along the tables.long guest tables wedding flowers rustic wedding hidcote manorhidcote manor long wedding tables country style flowers hessianburlap runnersOne of Sarah’s friends had made candles in vintage tea cups which were also part of the table setting. The table numbers were stamped onto paper flags to keep a rustic feel and cards were placed in the wicker baskets.
