Walton Hall Wedding Flowers Green & Dusky Pink ~ Rustic Glamour

Ben and Chris were married back in August at Walton Hall a stunning wedding venue in Warwickshire. They came to us at their first consultation with hundreds of ideas all along the lines of rustic glamour / vintage. We realised we needed to incorporate hessian and lavender, wow factor centre pieces , troughs, urns and lanterns in the décor somewhere, pulling it all together with the choice of flowers.

The mix of wedding flowers used throughout the day were vintage green hydrangeas, dusky pink amnesia roses, avalanche roses, gyposphila, veronica, china grass and eucalyptus.

The Grooms

Being two grooms they wanted the button holes to be extra special. To tie in with their tweed suits and overall look of the day they both wore amnesia roses, snippets of hydrangeas, with a touch of gyp and eucalyptus with the stems wrapped in twine.

Bridesmaid Bouquet

Their bridesmaid carried a stunning bouquet of amnesia roses, avalanche roses, veronica on a base of green hydrangeas tied with hessian and twine.

Ben & Chris made some fantastic signs for their wedding, we loved the welcome to our wedding sign, detailing the list of house rules.

Around the room were vintage suitcases filled with lavender plants. For the guest book they asked guests to take a polaroid picture of themselves and write something either sentimental or hilarious.

Walton Hall Wedding Flowers ~ The Ceremony

The wedding ceremony took place in The Moncrieffe room at Walton Hall, either side of the registrars table we created two giant urns raised up on wooden crates with lavish rustic arrangements of vintage green hydrangeas, dusky pink roses, grass, moss and eucalyptus. Along the table, and fireplaces and within the alcoves were troughs filled with a similar mix of flowers and jam jars wrapped in lace and hessian. walton hall weddding ceremony

Walton Hall Wedding Flowers ~ Top Table

The wedding breakfast also took place in The Moncrieffe Room at Walton Hall. The long top table was situated in front of the stunning fireplace. For the top table wedding flowers we filled troughs with a mix of sage green and dusky pink flowers. In between the troughs were a mix of bottles and jam jars covered in lace, hessian and twine again filled with florals. Either side of the top table were the two giant urns from the ceremony. Each chair back either had a hessian sash or piece of lavender, the napkins were all tied with hessian to complete the rustic look.

Walton Hall Wedding Flowers ~ Guest Tables

On the round guest tables we used a mix of table centres to create interest throughout the room. Some tables had glamorous silver candelabra with a large arrangement of amnesia roses, avalanche roses gypsophila and eucalyptus, these looked stunning once the chunky church candles were lit.

On other tables were lower arrangements around cream lanterns, the cream lanterns had a chunky candle in the middle with a mix of similar flowers around the base. Spread around the table were jam jars filled with roses, gypsolphila and herbs.

Wedding Flowers At Hogarths Solihull ~ Elegant Candelabra Wedding

Rebecca and Steve were married in August, the wedding reception was held at Hogarths Hotel, Solihull, one of our regular wedding venues. The couple were after an elegant and fresh look for their wedding flowers at Hogarths using dusky pink roses mixed with green and a hint of purple.

To create the overall look we used dusky pink amnesia roses, white lisianthus, white freesias, avalanche roses, bright green chrysanthemums and soft ruscus with a touch of gypsophilia and purple veronica.

The Wedding Bouquets

For her bridal bouquet Rebecca was after a delicate trailing bouquet, nothing too long or difficult to hold. We created her trailing shower bouquet with dusky pink amnesia roses, cream avalanche roses and lighter trailing lisianthus and freesia. The adult bridesmaids had simple hand tied bouquets of amnesia roses and the young flower girl’s held a single rose tied with ivory and pearl ribbon.

Wedding Flowers At Hogarths

To create the elegant look for their reception flowers at Hogarths each table had either a tall candelabra or lower footed vase. Having a mix of heights on different tables created interest throughout the room. The tall silver candelabra had a full arrangement of cream and dusky pink roses with strings of crystals hanging from the arms and chunky church candles to light up the room.

The lower footed vases were filled with glass cubes, the arrangement was a mix of gyp , roses, lisianthus and veronica. For the top table we created a long and low arrangement using a similar mix of flowers, at either end of the top table were the two large silver candelabra which had been moved over from the church.

Dusky Pink Roses (And Feathers) Bridal Bouquet

Laura was after a vintage romance wedding. To tie in with the rest of her décor we used a mix of mocha / caramel / dusky pink roses. The roses we used in her bridal bouquet were Quicksand roses, Sweet Avalanche roses, Avalanche roses and Memory Lane roses. We included snippets of died lace, delicate soft pink beads and edged it with feathers.

Country Garden Wedding Flowers | Marquee Wedding Warwickshire

Delyth and Russell were married in June this year, they wanted a relaxed summer country garden look for their flowers. The overall look was achieved by using highlights of blue hydrangea, dusky and stronger pink roses including Amnesia and Sweet Avalanche rose as well as pink lisianthus, astrantia, herbs and eucalyptus to create a ‘just picked’ country garden look.

Delyth’s bridal bouquet was a hand tied bright summer mix of blues and pinks, her bridesmaids had a smaller version for their bouquets and the young flower girls wore flower circlets made from blue hydrangeas.

The ceremony took place at Sibson church, blue hydrangeas and summer blooms filled the windowsills, archway and pew ends. At the entrance to the church we laid a rose wreath on this lovely old cart.

Country garden Wedding Flowers

The reception was in a marquee at Latimers Rest, a venue we had done a wedding shoot at last summer, the lovely country garden is a gorgeous place for a wedding reception. For the tables in the marquee we used a mix of summer flowers in cream jugs, each jug was slightly different to keep the ‘just picked’ look going. The colours ranged from blue right through to soft and deep pink. Tea lights were dotted around the table and summer mix petal confetti was sprinkled over the table cloths.Each guest received a packet of seeds as their wedding favour, the packets were all made by the bride and groom. Extra touches included thank you presents, hearts as chair backs and tables named after areas of London.

Vintage Wedding Flowers At The Belfry, Midlands

Back in May we worked on a vintage birdcage inspired wedding at The Belfry, Midlands. Working with our bride we decided a mix of soft pink roses and dusky pink roses would suit her theme and initial ideas. The bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were a mix of vintage roses with snippets of astrantia to add texture.The Belfry Hotel is home to the Ryder Cup and has great views over the 18th hole of golf course. The Wedding breakfast was held in the Ryder Room, vintage inspired bunting was hung all around the room, as guests entered the room it instantly gave it a whimsical feel. Each guest table had an extra large birdcage with a mix of soft pink and dusky pink roses on a bed of moss and gypsophilia with pearls draped through them to add a hint of vintage glamour to the room.

Each napkin had a small bunch of dried lavender and luggage tag as their place setting to continue the look.

Our bride had created a wonderful table plan using a set of old ladders. The table cards were pegged to the ladders with bottles and jars scattered throughout.
For DIY vintage style tea lights tie lace around your jam jars and add a candle. If you have run out of time for collecting jam jars we have hundreds available to hire already tied with lace or ribbon.The cake was an elegant ivory cake with roses, the cake table was covered with a couple of our vintage lace tablecloths and pearls. This gorgeous vintage china set looks perfect on the cake table it belonged to one of the brides family.Either side of the cake table we decorated large white mannequins with vintage roses and trailing ivy.

The fireplace is a key feature of the Ryder Room, it was decorated with a mix of vintage bottles, crystal bottles, candles and bunting.

Dusky Pink Roses {Wedding Flowers at Wethele Manor}

Back in May we worked on an elegant vintage inspired wedding at Wethele Manor, Warwickshire. We used a beautiful mix of dusky pink roses to complement the bride’s vision for her day. Included in our mix of beautiful blooms were memory lane roses, sweet avalanche roses, as well as pure white peonies and soft pink astilbe. At Passion for Flowers we found dusky pink to be one of the most popular colour choices last last, a trend which has continued to hold strong well into this year.The bridal bouquet was a trailing hand tied mix of dusky pink roses and astilbe, wrapped in dusky pink ribbon finished off with delicate lace to give that touch of vintage elegance . The bridesmaid’s had a similar mix of flowers keeping to a smaller rounder shape. For the button holes we love the mix of textures, the groom had a special button hole with an amnesia rose, ranunculus and astilbe while the groomsmen had a rose and astilbe.The ceremony took place in the oak beamed conservatory at Wethele Manor, we used our stunning 5′ high silver candelabra with a trailing floral arrangements to line the aisle. Birdcages were hung from the oak beams, we used a mix of dusky pink roses and draped the birdcages in elegant pearls. birdcage wedding flowers The ceremony table had a beautiful garland filling the length of the table with a mix of dusky pink roses and ivy to create a whimsical elegant look.The conservatory has lovely wooden window sills which we placed crystal glass vases and bottles with a mix candles and flowers.Moving on to the reception in the marquee at Wethele Manor, guests entered the room to see a smiple yet elegant table plan framed by our tall candelabra and free standing birdcage. Tables had a mix of decorations, some tables had birdcages on mirrored cake stands to give them height. The birdcage had a hand tied mix of dusky pink roses and a candle inside. Dusky pink rose petals were scattered generously on the tables.The other tables had cream candelabra with a similar mix of flowers. birdcage vintage wedding The marquee at Wethele Manor has gorgeous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, we decorated these with a mix of ivy, roses, pearls and ribbon to tie them into the vintage elegant decorations of the day.One of our stunning garlands was placed on the long top table. Nude Roses and Mocha Roses {Flower Delivery}

Couldn’t resist taking some photos of these gorgeous roses we have had in for a wedding this weekend. This morning at Passion for Flowers we have a mix of nude roses and mocha roses which we will be mixing with mocha hydrangeas for an Autumnal wedding.

Dusky Pink Roses {Flower Friday}

At Passion for Flowers we love working with roses especially these beautiful dusky pink roses.Dusky pink roses make great button holes for the Groom and Groomsmen, a simple single rose looks elegant or you could add some eucalyptus – don’t forget to add a pearl pin.

This Passion for Flowers bridal bouquet used a mix of roses. Here we have used dusky pink roses mixed with peach and soft pinks. These roses are perfect for a romantic bridal bouquet, the lace wrap we have used is an off cut from the brides dress.
This top table centrepiece is a mix of dusky pink roses as well as soft pink, peach, cream and spray roses, perfect with the dusky pink swag and chair sashes. Bouvardia and eucalyptus finish the wedding flowers off a treat.
