Here at Passion for Flowers we are regularly asked to contribute our designs to Wedding Flowers Magazine, the March April issue is out now filled with some excellent flower articles.
Wedding Flowers Magazine
This month our floral designs were for the ‘purple flowers’ section of the magazine. We chose to show a grouping of anemones, purple and cream lisianthus, wax flower and pink astrantia in a small silver vase.
Our table centre was a gorgeous domed arrangement on our silver mirrored cake stand using a mix of lilac and purple flowers. We used Ocean Song and Memory Lane roses, astrantia, lisianthus, wax flower and ivory berries.
To tie in with the table centres we designed a purple lilac bridal bouquet with a similar mix of flowers, finished off by tying purple twine around the stems and a vintage key. The cute button hole is a Memory Lane rose with a snippet of astrantia and ivory berries, tied with twine and a scrabble heart.
We also gave our advice for preserving flowers, read the article in full if you are looking for ways to preserve your flowers after your wedding. Here is one of our pink peony heads after it had been dried, we think it looks great styled in our mini bell jar.
We also gave some advice for those brides looking to achieve that luxe style for less. Offering advice on how to get the most out of your wedding flower budget by choosing the key areas of your venue you wish to dress, using large urns and candelabra more than once on the day and sticking to seasonal varieties where possible.
