Alhambra Inspired Show Garden

The design won a Royal Horticultural Society Silver gilt medal.

The Design

The courtyard stands at the back of an old house in southern England. It has a peaceful ambience and provides a relaxing place to rest, contemplate, soothe the soul and clear the mind.

The garden has been inspired by visits to the Alhambra in Spain. Moorish garden design reflects the sacred principles of balance and cyclical movement in the universe, the square and circle representing man and his spirit.

The water feature was commissioned from Lucy Smith, ceramic design.

Stonemarket sponsored the garden and provided hard landscaping materials.
