Sometimes in life you meet someone who inspires you and whom you love working with. I met with Charlotte O’Shea quite by chance and have enjoyed working with her ever since those early days. Never did I expect that I would travel the country with the Rock My Wedding team and create the florals for their stunning book. This past year has been a milestone in our floral journey and I feel so honoured to have my work featured in a book. When Charlotte first approached us at the concept stage we just knew we had to be involved and put our heart and soul into this project.
As Charlotte so beautifully put it “Karen Morgan from Passion for Flowers followed us halfway around the country with her magnificent blooms and ability to whip up a floral storm in an unprecedented short amount of time. I swear she is actually ‘Mary Poppins’ in disguise. Her van plays host to a seemingly limitless supply of trinkets and decorative pieces from her daughter Gemma’s wedding decor store – The Wedding of My Dreams”
WHO SHOULD BUY THE BOOK
The book is an inspiring read, a great gift for newly engaged couples or for anyone wanting to add some last minute details to their wedding day. No wedding should be planned without it!
PASSION FOR FLOWERS STAND AT THE NATIONAL WEDDING SHOW
At Passion for Flowers we love the chance to design our show stopping stand at The National Wedding Show. We are able to meet so many couples either just starting off on their wedding planning journey or wanting to be inspired for some last minute touches. Our stand showed a glimpse into our style of individually designed weddings. Every wedding is unique and designed with our couples in mind to reflect their tastes, venue and personalities. Passion for Flowers couples love flowers and have them high on their wedding list.
Cascading garlands of scented roses and foliage hung delicately from the muslin drapes. The large tablescape included a mix of bronze and gold vases and vessels filled with an autumnal mix of foliage and soft blooms. The hanging installation created a WOW factor to the stand with trailing amaranthus, roses, helebores and even more cascading foliage. Country house venues with fireplaces are lovely to decorate so we styled a fireplace with an asymetrical garland and bronze candlesticks.
BOUQUET FROM THE NATIONAL WEDDING SHOW
A blousy bouquet in our natural romantic style with a heavenly mix of eucalyptus, astilbe, helebores, lisianthus and scented roses stole the show. We always love the richness of soft ribbons to trail.
CENTREPIECES WE MADE FOR THE CHAMPAGNE BAR
Decorating the Champagne Bar gives an opportunity to show our range of bespoke, beautifully created centrepiece designs. The designs we created kept to our style “Naturally soft and romantic inspired by nature”.
If you met us at The National Wedding Show and think we could be the right florist for you, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
Sometimes you have a once in a lifetime opportunity…
I had just such an opportunity in April and decided to attend the Chapel Designers Conference London 2015. This amazing event was put together by floral rockstar Holly Heider Chapple founder of Chapel Designers with the help of Nick Priestly of Mood Flowers.
From the moment we all gathered for drinks in the aptly named The Rose pub to our final tearful moments leaving Simon Lycett’s studio 3 days later we made lifelong friends. Love of all things floral binds us together and allows this esteemed group of Chapel Designers to nourish and grow. I am honoured to be part of this family of florists from around the world.
We had the most wonderful experience and jawdropping selection of florals to choose from at our base in Brixton East. The love, laughter and emotions we all shared encouraged us to create the most amazing florals.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to meet so many talented designers. Holly inspired me to create this freeform bouquet.
Jo Flowers and Susanne Hatwood gave us a wonderful masterclass on their romantic, natural style of floral creations both have amazing styles and worked effortlessly to create delightful masterpieces. The compote design above I created after being inspired by their designs.
Rhona Wheeldon of Flowerona joined us for a session on Social Media and is was a highlight to meet her and gain some insights to the world of social media.
The photos below are a snapshot of instagram photos and offer an insight into the amazing times we shared. A masterclass from Robbie Honey who created the dramatic rose and eucalyptus urn, an inspiring behind the scenes visit to Simon Lycett’s studio and so much more.
