We love natural flowers and a chance to create a stunning backdrop for our couples.
WEDDING CEREMONY
For the ceremony we decorated a barley twist mandap with romantic, ivory, white flowers perfect for a Hindu ceremony under the mandap. Flowers included peonies, avalanche roses, miss bombastic spray roses, lisianthus and plenty of natural foliage.
After the ceremony we decorated a Moongate, a circular backdrop to the most stunning sweetheart table.
WEDDING CENTREPIECES
Danika and Vishal chose a natural arrangement including peonies, spray roses and mixed foliage. The tall bronze risers made a great choice for the tall centrepieces whilst the central table was decorated with a bronze footed urn, using a mix of high and low wedding centrepieces created a relaxed ambience in the Barn.
I just love seeing photos from our couple’s big day. Today I thought I’d share Kat and Luke’s micro wedding from September 2020 with you. They were married at Derby Registry Office and had bright yellow blooms (Kat’s favourite colour) mixed with fresh green and whites. It was such a happy day.
Now restrictions have lifted slightly I am so happy to be getting back in the swing of things. I’m busy preparing for our upcoming weddings of all shapes and sizes, I am just so pleased our couples are able to finally get married.
I am back! This weekend was my first wedding of the year and it felt so good to be back doing what I love. Kate and Chris had a micro wedding with 15 people and it was beautiful. They were married in the village church opposite the family home. I created natural style Church flowers for them, a delicate flower crown and a bouquet to compliment Kate’s stunning dress.
The flowers were left decorating the church as a sign of hope for everyone to see.
“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the most beautiful wedding flowers! I couldn’t believe how perfect they were for our style and everyone commented on how lovely they all looked.
Thank you again for being a part of our day and I’m so glad we were still able to have you.
We really had the best time, being smaller made it so special and we wouldn’t have changed a thing!”
Looking back through the archives and had to share this intimate wedding with you. Every now and then time stops still to celebrate a wonderful marriage of two people so in love. I first met Ellie and Matt when they were down in Birmingham looking at venues for their wedding. They had strong ideas on the feel they hoped to create and took time to find venues and their wedding team.
The Oratory was such a special place for the wedding ceremony and for their initmate gathering of loved ones. In contrast the urban feel of The Church Inn in Birmingham gave us scope to create a great backdrop for their wedding celebrations. They loved the Brooklyn Inspired feel of urban places. Throughout the planning Ellie was happy to let us offer advice and we worked together beautifully to create this amazing moment in time.
We were thrilled to see this wedding featured on Love My Dress .
HAIR FLOWERS
The bridesmaids wore beautiful white dresses individually chosen and we created loose half flower crowns for their hair flowers. Simple, understated but elegant bringing in soft blues, nude, white and stronger purple tones. The hair was styled by our friend Natalie at Bridal Hair Specialists.
WRIST CORSAGES
For a simple but stunning look the girls wore beautifully created wrist corsages keeping to the tones of the day, with astrantia, wax flower and snippets of garden greenery. Ellie looked stunning in her Sarah Willard Couture designed dress.
BRIDAL BOUQUET
Ellie’s bridal bouquet was designed with her dress and personal style in mind. I love brides giving us freedom to work our magic on their flowers and Ellie fell in love with her bridal bouquet. This loose hand tied design included clematis to trail, a mix of roses, astrantia, lilac, tulips, wax flower, amni and helebores with a mix of garden forages for added texture. I just love her gloves to complete her look.
BUTTONHOLES
The button holes were a mix of quicksand roses, wax flower, some with delicate blue snippets of hydrangea. I love this image of Matt with his button hole.
CHURCH DECORATION – CANDLES DOWN THE AISLE
The Oratory is an amazing space and candles down the aisle in all shapes and sizes create the perfect look. It felt like an Italian church with the wonderful architecture and we decided that flowers in church would not do it justice and agreed with Ellie and Matt to go all out for candlelight. The service was so personal and on entering the church the magic and love could be felt.
HAND HELD ARCH
Love this idea for a hand held arch for the couple.
HANGING FLOWERS
For the gathering after the formal part of the day Ellie knew she wanted hanging flowers to create a wow factor over the drinks table and as a backdrop to speeches and photos. An exhuberant mix of trailing foliage, large hydrangea blooms, trailing amaranthus, tulips threaded through the frame and scented wax flowers brought the room to life.
Arches elevate a simple wedding to another level and bring beauty and joy to all wedding celebrations. As one of our recent brides said it is all about the arch. A new and inspirational idea is a floating arch which creates an illusion of magic for your wedding backdrop. If you are looking for magic then this is a great choice for your wedding.
Candles add romance to every wedding so make sure you include them on your wedding list if you are looking for a romantic look which will be captured on all your wedding photos. We love the finishing touches lighting the candles just before our couples see their wedding flowers for the first time. It is such a joyous moment, make sure you ask your planner to let you have a sneak peak of the room together before you enter for the wedding breakfast.
The flowers chosen here are an amazing mix of peach, pink and pops of deeper orange, so if you are looking for some colour for your wedding backdrop this would be great for you. And for each and every wedding we can create just the arch for you in colours and textures you will love. We would love to create a beautiful day for you to remember so please do get in touch.
Wedding styles are always evolving and we have been creating deconstructed arches for a number of our weddings over the last year or so. To learn a few more tricks of the trade especially creating with no floral foam I enjoyed a couple of days with Sabine Darrall earlier this year. These images show the beauty we can create. Personally, I love the natural green and white of the first image perfect for a foliage-filled wedding.
I just love this romantic look with the combination of the softest blush pink roses, scented lilac , amelanchier and blousy hydrangeas perfect for a spring wedding.
The final image shows how colour can transform the look with strong pink tones and a garden bench.
If you are looking for statement flowers for your wedding please get in touch we would love to be the florist for your wedding. Karen x
Sophie and Chris imagined an abundance of flowers for their woodland secret garden/midsummer nights dream theme and with that in mind we created meadow style ceremony flowers for their Hampton Manor wedding.
CLASSIC WHITE AND GREEN BUTTONHOLES FOR GROOMSMEN
The classic white and green button holes were created for the groomsmen for an elegant classic look. Sophie and Chris had the most beautiful signage and stationery for their wedding starting with the gorgeous Welcome sign and Order of Service.
LUXURY WHITE ROSE BRIDAL BOUQUET
Sophie had the most amazing bespoke Suzanne Neville bridal gown with a delicate rose design on the skirt and the perfect bodice and neckline for this elegant bride. The hand tied bouquet was an abundant mix of the most scented white roses.
MEADOW STYLE FLOWERS FOR CEREMONY BARN AT HAMPTON MANOR – ASYMMETRIC ARCH
The aisle was filled with meadow style flowers with scented blooms and overflowing foliage leading to a show stopping asymmetric arch decorated with lush foliage and flowers. By keeping to a white and green palette the ceremony barn looked elegant and oh so soft and dreamy.
MEADOW STYLE FLOWERS FOR CEREMONY BARN AT HAMPTON MANOR – AISLE FLOWERS
The aisle was lined with natural meadow style flowers and foliage scented stocks, veronica, ammi, campanula and ranunculus growing through a mix of foliage.

So every bride dreams of her wedding day and what better place to say I do than at Hampton Manor. This staircase is a wonderful place for photos especially when it is decorated with meadow style flowers in the softest shades of whites. Perfect for Sophie and her maids and for guests to enjoy during the drinks reception. In fact these flowers were enjoyed all day as we later moved them outside to the terrace tables for the evening.
Thank you Sophie and Chris for asking us to fill your wedding with beautiful flowers. We just loved working with you on your stunning love filled wedding.
Hannah and Joel were married in church followed by a wedding reception at the lovely Shustoke Farm Barns, one of our favourite places.
BRIDAL PARTY FLOWERS – BOUQUETS, BUTTONHOLES & FLOWER CROWNS
A touch of rustic was added to the button holes with lisianthus wax flower, thistle and foliage finished with twine. The most beautiful scented garden roses graced the bouquets while the bridesmaids wore delicate flower crowns to tie in with the button holes. Delivering on the day is always an exciting time seeing the delight when our bride finally sees her wedding coming together.
LITTLE ASTON CHURCH FLOWERS
The church at Little Aston is so pretty with beautiful welcome posies added to the church gate and decorating the altar.
The bridesmaids dresses were so dreamy with their bouquets of garden roses including cafe latte and kiera picking up the blush pink tones. The hair crowns made a simple addition to pull the elegant look together.
SHUSTOKE BARN ENTRANCE TABLES
The entrance tables were decorated with a lovely mix of flowers and family photos with the all-important order of the day to keep your guests on time.
HANGING FLOWER GLOBES AT SHUSTOKE BARN
To make the most of the barn we added an oversized hanging flower globe with a selection of foliage and delphiniums for a statement piece.
MILK CHURNS AND TABLE PLANS
The milk churn with relaxed flowers and foliage filled the entrance with a beautiful scent from the roses.
OVAL TOP TABLE CENTREPIECES
The oval top table was decorated with a footed bowl with cascading blooms and foliage from the day to create the perfect look for this table. A mix of tea lights in complementary tones completed the look with our frames for the table names.
RUSTIC ELEGANT LOW CENTREPIECES
With the style of food in the barn a low centrepiece was chosen with a rustic elegant flower and foliage arrangement set around a central lantern with tea lights to add a further glow to the tables.
STYLING UPSTAIRS IN THE BARN
There is space upstairs add the barn to continue with personal touches, framed photos, hanging decorations and even a chill out tipi for the youngest of guests.
NAKED WEDDING CAKE WITH ROSES
Our friend at Buttercream and Dreams made the most beautiful of cakes for Hannah and Joel. We selected the stunning blooms to finish the look. I just love the macaroons nestled on the cake in the wonderful toning colours.
If you need help with florals and styling for your Shustoke Farm wedding please get in touch as we would love to help. Karen x
We love barn weddings and Blackwell Grange is a great setting for a country wedding.
BLACKWELL GRANGE WEDDING FLOWERS
Nicola and Mark have a love of cycling and at provided us with the most beautiful bike to decorate at the entrance to the Barns. The basket was overflowing with textured flowers and lots of spring blooms.
HANDTIED BOUQUET, SOFT PINK TONES & TEXTURE
Nikola’s hand tied bouquets with a mix of soft and dusky pinks with roses, hellebore, astrantia with a mix of foliage.
Last winter we were lucky enough to be involved in this stunning winter wedding at Hampton Manor. We were thrilled to see it featured recently on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings Blog too. Hannah and Adam were married late November so opted for an enchanted forest winter wedding.
Enchanted Forest Winter Ceremony Backdrop
Hannah’s large wild bouquet was predominantly foliage with touches of deep red and featured protea and trailing ribbons. Candles in glass cylinders lined the aisle and we created a backdrop to frame the couple as they said their I Do’s.
Long Guest Tables Winter Wedding Styling
Within Elizabeth’s Court we added touches of floral decor all around. We decorated the bespoke table plan and provided gold vases for the bouquets to sit in during the meal to create extra floral decorations. We laid foliage down the length of the tables with candles spread out for a romantic wintery glow.
My new favourite backdrop! I have recently invested in a new frame which lets me create these epic backdrops for wedding venues. It’s first outing was at Hampton Manor wedding fair where I used it as a backdrop to the top table, I used mainly foliage for this design with touches of roses and blossom. This design was completely foam free and therefore much kinder to thee environment.
This idea could also be used as a ceremony backdrop or could be set at the entrance to your wedding venue or behind you wedding cake. The frame is pretty flexible too so can be made to the size you require, it’s maximum height is 10′ and starts at 6′ and the maximum width is 12′.
Garlands extending along a guest or top table are a firm favourite at weddings and provide a relaxed environment for any wedding celebration. Picking up tips on making our designs foam free and more eco-friendly has been top of my list this year and so I was delighted to join other talented florists to spend a couple of days creating and learning with Sabine Darrall.
At many of our barn venues or in marquees we have the opportunity to create stunning hanging decorations for our wedding couples. Again we now aim to make these foam free and more eco-friendly. The freshest of gathered foliages is always a good place to start and using flowers that will last through the wedding day. We usually hang these arrangements on the day of the wedding.
A wedding fair is an opportunity to meet newly engaged couples, existing clients and to show our skills at decorating a venue. We loved the opportunity to decorate the Palladian style chapel at Compton Verney as well as decorating in the Adam Hall and Art Gallery.
The Chapel – Pampas Grass Aisle Decoration, Deconstructed Arch
The Chapel was restored lovingly and is now a most beautiful space for a ceremony. We designed a deconstructed arch to frame the ceremony with a naturally inspired mix of foliage, pampas grass, quicksand roses and delicate nigella. The aisle decoration flowed along the aisle with a relaxed walkway of foliage, amaranthus, quicksand roses and pampas grass.
Tall White & Green Centrepiece, White Floral Stand
The elegant Adam Hall with its tall ceiling benefits from tall centrepieces. For a classic, elegant look we designed the arrangements with masses of green foliage and wedding favourites scented garden roses, spray roses, ammi and lisianthus. For a spring look we added alliums and blossom. The white floral stand is the perfect height to allow guests to see each other across the table and is also available in gold, and copper to work with your wedding colours. Small white vases with single stems add interest at table height.
Moongate Backdrop & Bud Vase Window Display
The moongate was decorated with a delicate eucalyptus foliage for a light display keeping the look fresh and inviting. Buds vases placed along the table with roses, amaranthus and dried delphiniums continued the look. The moongate back drop is perfect for a ceremony or behind a top table, sweetheart table or to frame the cake table.
This gorgeous wooden door at Hampton Manor is in the main dining room of Elizabeth’s Court. I’ve been eyeing it up for ages wanting to create something gorgeous and floral around it to make even more of a statement than it already is.
At the most recent wedding fair, I created this asymmetric arch style floral display – which isn’t an arch at all! We loved out final creation and guests just loved it. Many Hampton Manor couples use this door as a photo backdrop so florals would certainly enhance this setting.
The 2 floral posts could be used anywhere, often we create something similar at an entrance to a church or between large pillars and arches within venues.
