If you are looking for inspiration for an elegant winter wedding then I thought you would love this one. Hampton Manor plays host to many happy events during the year but it is the home of winter weddings. Hannah and Rick chose the Manor as the setting for their elegant romantic wedding in December.
WINTER WEDDING FLOWERS AT HAMPTON MANOR – BOUQUETS
For an elegant winter wedding forgot the strong Christmas vibes of red and green and embrace the season with the softest of roses, brunia berries, wax flowers and lashing of eucalyptus.
A winter wedding ceremony needs the softest candlelight and petals down the aisle with handfuls of foliage at the end of the rows to bring the outside in.
HAMPTON MANOR ENTRANCE ARCH & WELCOME SIGN
The entrance to the Manor is the perfect place to add an oversized welcome sign.
WINTER WEDDING CENTREPIECES ELEGANT
Elegant centrepieces with hurricane vases, church candles and an elegant ring of foliage with the softest blooms continued the winter scheme.
NAKED WEDDING CAKE WITH DELICATE FLORALS
A topper added to the naked cake continues the look of the day.
We love working with venues on editorial shoots and this opportunity with The Brand Studio Co and a very talented team of suppliers was a great collaboration. The white and green palette was modern and timeless.
Light came streaming in through the windows and the top table was decorated with footed bowls filled with flowers and a mixture of lanterns, candlesticks and votives set out the lightest touch of eucalyptus foliage.
It is lovely to see Moxhull Hall using some of these images in their new brochure and on their website inspiring couples to come and see their wonderful venue. If you are looking for a florist please get in touch.
Yesterday I had a lovely day at Hampton Manor wedding fayre. Exhibiting at wedding fayres always gives us a chance to create something new and meet lovely couples excited about their upcoming weddings.
We chose to showcase our floral clouds, these are going to be BIG in 2020. If your venue has somewhere in the ceiling to suspend from we can create a hanging cloud or for centrepieces we can create a floating arrangement over a stand on the table.
What do you think?
NEUTRAL TONES – Dried flowers
So on-trend for 2020, neutral tones and dried flowers. We just love this look. Clear glass and dark bottles of dried stems along the table completed the look.
GREEN & WHITE – Foliage, blossom & roses
For a fresher look, we used fresh foliage and white blossom, roses and tulips. Again a lightweight relaxed loose arrangement floating above the gold stand. Small vases and tea light holders completed the look along the table.

So every bride dreams of her wedding day and what better place to say I do than at Hampton Manor. This staircase is a wonderful place for photos especially when it is decorated with meadow style flowers in the softest shades of whites. Perfect for Sophie and her maids and for guests to enjoy during the drinks reception. In fact these flowers were enjoyed all day as we later moved them outside to the terrace tables for the evening.
Thank you Sophie and Chris for asking us to fill your wedding with beautiful flowers. We just loved working with you on your stunning love filled wedding.
We have just received the photos back from this stunning wedding we did at Hampton Manor. It was so gorgeous we have split it across 4 blog posts. For those of you looking for colour scheme inspiration, you can’t go wrong with a classic grey and white colour palette. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous dove grey long dresses paired with luxury white roses and ranunculus. We think this look is just dreamy.

TALL FLORAL STANDS AT HAMPTON MANOR

A stunning shoot I worked on earlier in the year in the lovely Compton Verney wedding venue, an art gallery in a Grade I Georgian mansion surrounded by stunning parklands and lake played. Compton Verney is a special wedding venue for me as my son is getting married here next summer. The Adam Hall is the jewel of the Compton Verney estate. Featuring large picture windows, marble floor, ornate pillars and high ceilings, it exudes timeless elegance.
I worked on this shoot with a number of talented local wedding suppliers, we provided an epic floral backdrop made from dried bulrushes, foliage and pampas grass using brass vases and lanterns from our sister site The Wedding of my Dreams. I also made a loose hand tied bouquet featuring hand-dyed ribbons from Little Acorn Silks, which looked delicate and simple creating a modern, minimalist look.
Not every centrepice has to be tall, in fact more and more of our couples are opting for low centrepieces. Low doesn’t mean any less WOW, footed bowls can look stunning on tables and I often design them with flowers cascading over the brim for a really full look.
At Hampton Manor I recently showed some spring designs in footed bowls. I displayed the same designs on both the bare wooden tables and clothed tables, deciding whether or not you have linen on your tables can really transform the look of the room so this is a great way to see how the same centrepiece can look different simply based on the linen and chairs.
Low Footed Bowls – A Classic Look
For the more traditional, classic look I placed 3 low centrepieces down the length of the table. Bronze candlesticks, vases and tealight holders filled in the spaces between the footed bowls for an elegant look. Hampton Manor had clothed the tables and used their Chiavari chairs for a more classic look.
Low Footed Bowls – A Rustic / Industrial Look
Here I have used the same design footed bowls, candlesticks and bronze vases but this time they are displayed on Hampton Manor’s new wooden tables and leather chairs. You can see how the bare tables really transform the look for a more rustic/industrial vibe. Both options are available at Hampton Manor.
Co-ordinating Top Table Design
To co-ordinate the room the top table had one low footed bowl in the centre with loose foliage laid along the length of the table as well as bronze candlesticks and tealights.
If you have chosen long guest tables you just can’t beat the classic look of a garland flowing the entire length of the table. I created these garlands for Hampton Manor’s recent wedding fair on their new wooden tables, which I just love.
For this design I opted for no floral foam, using a mix of foliage, roses, ranunculus and spring blooms down the length of the table. Candlesticks were entwined into the design and to finish off the wooden tables I added a natural cotton table runner and brass name place settings. If you love this idea but have chosen round tables we could still incorporate this into your table design.
A wedding fair is an opportunity to meet newly engaged couples, existing clients and to show our skills at decorating a venue. We loved the opportunity to decorate the Palladian style chapel at Compton Verney as well as decorating in the Adam Hall and Art Gallery.
The Chapel – Pampas Grass Aisle Decoration, Deconstructed Arch
The Chapel was restored lovingly and is now a most beautiful space for a ceremony. We designed a deconstructed arch to frame the ceremony with a naturally inspired mix of foliage, pampas grass, quicksand roses and delicate nigella. The aisle decoration flowed along the aisle with a relaxed walkway of foliage, amaranthus, quicksand roses and pampas grass.
Tall White & Green Centrepiece, White Floral Stand
The elegant Adam Hall with its tall ceiling benefits from tall centrepieces. For a classic, elegant look we designed the arrangements with masses of green foliage and wedding favourites scented garden roses, spray roses, ammi and lisianthus. For a spring look we added alliums and blossom. The white floral stand is the perfect height to allow guests to see each other across the table and is also available in gold, and copper to work with your wedding colours. Small white vases with single stems add interest at table height.
Moongate Backdrop & Bud Vase Window Display
The moongate was decorated with a delicate eucalyptus foliage for a light display keeping the look fresh and inviting. Buds vases placed along the table with roses, amaranthus and dried delphiniums continued the look. The moongate back drop is perfect for a ceremony or behind a top table, sweetheart table or to frame the cake table.
