Wedding styles are always evolving and we have been creating deconstructed arches for a number of our weddings over the last year or so. To learn a few more tricks of the trade especially creating with no floral foam I enjoyed a couple of days with Sabine Darrall earlier this year. These images show the beauty we can create. Personally, I love the natural green and white of the first image perfect for a foliage-filled wedding.
I just love this romantic look with the combination of the softest blush pink roses, scented lilac , amelanchier and blousy hydrangeas perfect for a spring wedding.
The final image shows how colour can transform the look with strong pink tones and a garden bench.

The setting at Hampton Manor for the summer wedding of Sophie and Chris was a delight to decorate. Scented roses, stocks, spray roses, ranunculus and lisianthus with a mix of herbs and foliage filled the room for this elegant wedding.
TALL WEDDING CENTREPIECES – GOLD FLORAL STANDS
Tall wedding centrepieces are forever elegant and allow a clear view for guests whilst creating an amazing wow factor as you enter the room. Bringing in the gold twist with the beautiful dog table names was such a cute personal detail for Sophie and Chris.
,STUNNING ASYMMETRIC ARCH BEHIND TOP TABLE BACKDROP
The asymmetric arch behind the top table framed the newlyweds for the speeches and created the most beautiful midsummer floral backdrop for their day.
Thank you so much Sophie and Chris for your kind words and for sharing your beautiful day captured by Dominique so well.
‘I just wanted to send you a very quick note to say, that no amount of words can express how happy and grateful and generally full of joy I was (still am) at the absolutely stunning flowers you created on Saturday! I wanted to tell you that what you created was truly magical and we are forever grateful!’
And that’s what makes our wedding work so worthwhile. Wonderful clients, brilliant venues and a great team. Karen x
Sophie and Chris imagined an abundance of flowers for their woodland secret garden/midsummer nights dream theme and with that in mind we created meadow style ceremony flowers for their Hampton Manor wedding.
CLASSIC WHITE AND GREEN BUTTONHOLES FOR GROOMSMEN
The classic white and green button holes were created for the groomsmen for an elegant classic look. Sophie and Chris had the most beautiful signage and stationery for their wedding starting with the gorgeous Welcome sign and Order of Service.
LUXURY WHITE ROSE BRIDAL BOUQUET
Sophie had the most amazing bespoke Suzanne Neville bridal gown with a delicate rose design on the skirt and the perfect bodice and neckline for this elegant bride. The hand tied bouquet was an abundant mix of the most scented white roses.
MEADOW STYLE FLOWERS FOR CEREMONY BARN AT HAMPTON MANOR – ASYMMETRIC ARCH

So every bride dreams of her wedding day and what better place to say I do than at Hampton Manor. This staircase is a wonderful place for photos especially when it is decorated with meadow style flowers in the softest shades of whites. Perfect for Sophie and her maids and for guests to enjoy during the drinks reception. In fact these flowers were enjoyed all day as we later moved them outside to the terrace tables for the evening.
Thank you Sophie and Chris for asking us to fill your wedding with beautiful flowers. We just loved working with you on your stunning love filled wedding.
We have just received the photos back from this stunning wedding we did at Hampton Manor. It was so gorgeous we have split it across 4 blog posts. For those of you looking for colour scheme inspiration, you can’t go wrong with a classic grey and white colour palette. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous dove grey long dresses paired with luxury white roses and ranunculus. We think this look is just dreamy.
Lucy and Jake had a wonderful elegant wedding at Hampton Manor at the end of May. Lucy’s brief was white flowers and green foliage with a hint of Italian influences. For the wedding day we selected the most beautiful white peonies with eucalyptus, olive and pistache.
ELEGANT WHITE AND GREEN BOUQUETS
The bouquets were oh so elegant for this wedding.
ELEGANT WHITE ROSE BUTTON HOLES
Small white rose buds teamed with olive created elegant button holes for the boys.
ELEGANT BLACK TIE GROOMSMEN
Black tie for the groomsmen works wonderfully with simple understated buttonholes.
CHURCH FLOWERS HAMPTON IN ARDEN
The aisle at Hampton Church was dressed with bunches of olive and trailing ribbons for an elegant look.
HAMPTON MANOR WEDDING CENTREPIECES – TOP TABLE
Elegant gold stands overflowing with lush foliage and peonies with ranunculus decorated the top table. The full length of the table was then dressed with a full foliage garland with scatterings of white flowers growing through.
LONG TABLE GARLANDS HAMPTON MANOR, WHITE & GREEN
The long guest tables had a mix of foliage entwined down the centre of the table with a mix of white flowers to finish. Candles completed this very elegant look.
TALL FLORAL STANDS AT HAMPTON MANOR
As the room was turned around for the evening entertainment the tall floral stands with candles around the base continued the elegance of the day.
A stunning shoot I worked on earlier in the year in the lovely Compton Verney wedding venue, an art gallery in a Grade I Georgian mansion surrounded by stunning parklands and lake played. Compton Verney is a special wedding venue for me as my son is getting married here next summer. The Adam Hall is the jewel of the Compton Verney estate. Featuring large picture windows, marble floor, ornate pillars and high ceilings, it exudes timeless elegance.
I worked on this shoot with a number of talented local wedding suppliers, we provided an epic floral backdrop made from dried bulrushes, foliage and pampas grass using brass vases and lanterns from our sister site The Wedding of my Dreams. I also made a loose hand tied bouquet featuring hand-dyed ribbons from Little Acorn Silks, which looked delicate and simple creating a modern, minimalist look.
Last winter we were lucky enough to be involved in this stunning winter wedding at Hampton Manor. We were thrilled to see it featured recently on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings Blog too. Hannah and Adam were married late November so opted for an enchanted forest winter wedding.
Enchanted Forest Winter Ceremony Backdrop
Hannah’s large wild bouquet was predominantly foliage with touches of deep red and featured protea and trailing ribbons. Candles in glass cylinders lined the aisle and we created a backdrop to frame the couple as they said their I Do’s.
Long Guest Tables Winter Wedding Styling
Within Elizabeth’s Court we added touches of floral decor all around. We decorated the bespoke table plan and provided gold vases for the bouquets to sit in during the meal to create extra floral decorations. We laid foliage down the length of the tables with candles spread out for a romantic wintery glow.
If you have chosen long guest tables you just can’t beat the classic look of a garland flowing the entire length of the table. I created these garlands for Hampton Manor’s recent wedding fair on their new wooden tables, which I just love.
For this design I opted for no floral foam, using a mix of foliage, roses, ranunculus and spring blooms down the length of the table. Candlesticks were entwined into the design and to finish off the wooden tables I added a natural cotton table runner and brass name place settings. If you love this idea but have chosen round tables we could still incorporate this into your table design.
My new favourite backdrop! I have recently invested in a new frame which lets me create these epic backdrops for wedding venues. It’s first outing was at Hampton Manor wedding fair where I used it as a backdrop to the top table, I used mainly foliage for this design with touches of roses and blossom. This design was completely foam free and therefore much kinder to thee environment.
This idea could also be used as a ceremony backdrop or could be set at the entrance to your wedding venue or behind you wedding cake. The frame is pretty flexible too so can be made to the size you require, it’s maximum height is 10′ and starts at 6′ and the maximum width is 12′.
Garlands extending along a guest or top table are a firm favourite at weddings and provide a relaxed environment for any wedding celebration. Picking up tips on making our designs foam free and more eco-friendly has been top of my list this year and so I was delighted to join other talented florists to spend a couple of days creating and learning with Sabine Darrall.
At many of our barn venues or in marquees we have the opportunity to create stunning hanging decorations for our wedding couples. Again we now aim to make these foam free and more eco-friendly. The freshest of gathered foliages is always a good place to start and using flowers that will last through the wedding day. We usually hang these arrangements on the day of the wedding.
Most of our wedding work includes a statement urn or two, either for the church or ceremony, close to a top table or as a feature by a staircase. This style of arrangement is often the first look at your wedding and is a beautiful piece to be photographed by or enjoyed by guests. I loved creating this free form urn design using no floral foam and keeping our weddings more eco-friendly. This natural mix was expertly captured for me by the talented Sabine Darrall whose courses I would highly recommend.
Pink, Peach & Green Free Form Bouquet
Working with a whole host of beautiful blooms enabled me to create the most natural free form bouquet for this spring bouquet I just loved the butterfly ranunculus and spirea.
A wedding fair is an opportunity to meet newly engaged couples, existing clients and to show our skills at decorating a venue. We loved the opportunity to decorate the Palladian style chapel at Compton Verney as well as decorating in the Adam Hall and Art Gallery.
The Chapel – Pampas Grass Aisle Decoration, Deconstructed Arch
The Chapel was restored lovingly and is now a most beautiful space for a ceremony. We designed a deconstructed arch to frame the ceremony with a naturally inspired mix of foliage, pampas grass, quicksand roses and delicate nigella. The aisle decoration flowed along the aisle with a relaxed walkway of foliage, amaranthus, quicksand roses and pampas grass.
Tall White & Green Centrepiece, White Floral Stand
The elegant Adam Hall with its tall ceiling benefits from tall centrepieces. For a classic, elegant look we designed the arrangements with masses of green foliage and wedding favourites scented garden roses, spray roses, ammi and lisianthus. For a spring look we added alliums and blossom. The white floral stand is the perfect height to allow guests to see each other across the table and is also available in gold, and copper to work with your wedding colours. Small white vases with single stems add interest at table height.
Moongate Backdrop & Bud Vase Window Display
The moongate was decorated with a delicate eucalyptus foliage for a light display keeping the look fresh and inviting. Buds vases placed along the table with roses, amaranthus and dried delphiniums continued the look. The moongate back drop is perfect for a ceremony or behind a top table, sweetheart table or to frame the cake table.
We love autumn wedding colours and were delighted when Kate and Al chose us to be the florist for their elegant autumn wedding. We worked on a brief of mixed metallics, bronze, copper and gold with candlelight, burgundy red, emerald, dusky pinks and touches of peach.
FREE FORM WEDDING BOUQUETS – AUTUMN WEDDING COLOURS
Kate suited a natural free form wedding bouquet with a mix of autumn colours. Deep peach Juliet roses, dark burgundy red Black Bacarra and Quicksand roses with dahlia and kangaroo paw for added texture with stocks, hypericum berries, frilly lisianthus and eucalyptus.
BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS
The bridesmaids bouquets suited their elegant emerald green Ghost dresses and by choosing the same colours for the bride and her bridesmaids bouquets the look is pulled together effortlessly.
HAMPTON IN ARDEN CHURCH WEDDING – BRONZE TALL VASES & CANDLE LIGHT
For an Autumn wedding bronze tall vases filled with a mix of flowers and foliage from the day created a beautiful backdrop for the church wedding at Hampton in Arden church. Candle light was used on the windowsills and down the aisle to give a warm look to the church.
CENTREPEICES: BRONZE FLORAL STANDS WITH FOLIAGE & FEATHERS
The long tables were dressed with bronze floral stands with foliage and feathers with hanging baubles and foliage along the length of the table intertwined around a mix of gold, copper and bronze votives. These colours work well with the venue decor including the stunning chandelier in Elizabeth’s Court.
CENTREPIECES: BRONZE TALL VASES ALONG LONG TABLES
The centrepiece bronze tall vases looked elegant on the long tables with a lush arrangement with dahlia, Juliet, Black Bacarra and Quicksand roses, deep toned fluffy hydrangea and plenty of foliage with kangaroo paw and hyericum berries for an autumn wedding.
NAKED WEDDING CAKE
Soft Quicksand and deep burgundy black bacarra roses decorated the naked wedding cake and Kate laid her bouquet to the side.
Thank you for sharing your photos to inspire our couples, we loved working with this couple of create their wedding flowers and styling at Hampton Manor and for your lovely words.
‘I just wanted to email to say thank you so much for Saturday – the flowers were incredible, better than we could have imagined! The church and Elizabeth Court looked stunning too! So much work must have gone into getting everything ready and we are very grateful for that.

One of the joys of the start of the year is that we have chance to cherish the photos of our weddings from the busy wedding season. Just take a look at the beautiful, elegant wedding of Sarah and James at Hampton Manor. The sun shone all day long for this happy couple and the setting at Hampton Manor held so many places for their beautiful photos. Sarah was the most thoughtful bride and sent this lovely message the morning after her wedding.
I can not put into words or thank you enough for your work yesterday.
You are so incredibly talented. From our first meeting I came away with complete and utter confidence in your work. I even said to family and friends that it was like you could read my mind as you just understood my vision from the offset.
From my bouquet, to the candles, ceremony room, Elizabeth’s court and even the foliage on the welcome signs every single detail was EXACTLY how I envisioned. I was looking at the table at 11pm candles were still burning, creating the most wonderful evening ambiance inside and outside Elizabeth’s court.
I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for us and I am so so happy to have had the opportunity to work with you and have you part of our wedding journey. You are inspirational!
