Just received a lovely thank you from Emma and Ben who were married at Shustoke Farm Barns in August. We love this shot of Emma and Ben having their confetti moment. We supplied them with real rose petal confetti. Emma’s bouquet was a mix of blush pink spray roses, larger blush pink roses, white hydrangeas with snippets of eucalyptus and lavender.
Thank you so much to you, Gemma and your team for the most beautiful flowers and styling for our wedding and the most excellent service. The flower globe is currently a very extravagant hanging basket at my parents’ house in Kenilworth.
Everything was absolutely just as we wanted and the flowers and styling were even better than I could have imagined.
Grace and Alex chose the perfect setting of Birtsmorton Court for their September wedding. As Grace works in London we managed to catch up with her initially at the National Wedding Show and again for a consultation when she was visiting her family in Warwickshire. We discussed a classic country elegant look for her wedding, perfect for the setting at Birtsmorton.
BLUSH PINK AND IVORY ROSE BOUQUET
Flowers we highlighted for the bouquet included blush pink sweet avalanche and cream avalanche with snippets of lavender, foliage and astrantia, lace was incorporated to finish the bouquet which looked wonderful with her Suzanne Neville dress.
WHITE HYDRANGEA BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS
The 5 bridesmaids carried white hydrangea bouquets perfect with their blush pink dresses.
BIRTSMORTON COURT WEDDING FLOWERS
At Passion for Flowers we love creating Birtsmorton Court wedding flowers. The intimate church and gorgeous gardens at Birtsmorton Court offer couples an amazing location for their wedding. There are so many places to capture memories on your wedding day. I just love the image of the house and terrace reflected in the moat.
I was thrilled to be part of Grace and Alex’s wedding day as her lovely mum Liz had been part of my wedding day many years ago styling my hair on the day. Such a small world as they had decided to book us not realising the link.
WINDOW SHUTTER TABLE PLAN
Grace was keen to personalise her wedding day and we suggested incorporating our window shutter table plan to the entrance at Birtsmorton Court. A handtied posy kept the colours running through the day. There were touches of lalvender around the venue and in the church.
For the guest tables we created candelabra centrepieces with a soft mix of flowers including highlights of lavender. Grace also wanted us to include some more rustic styling to her day and so we added rustic groupings set on an antique silver tray with a mix of vases with candles and flowers with a selection of mercury tea lights. We had great fun sourcing a collection of the antique trays in the lead up to the wedding as we are always happy to add to our collection of styling props.
TOP TABLE – MERCURY SILVER VASES AND CANDLESTICKS
A long top table is always a chance to decorate with style and elegance. Mercury silver vases and candlesticks look elegant and added plenty of light to the table. Grace had enlisted the help of her family to make the personal touches like the individual place settings, and pew ends.
The statement urn of flowers finished off the look, we always suggest having some larger arrangements to set the tone of the day and offer a floral welcome for wedding guests. It is worth checking if these can be moved from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast room to be enjoyed later in the day.
I just love weddings with lots of details and personal touches. Steffi and Dan came down with their families to meet me and tell me about the Pride and Prejudice inspired wedding they were planning just perfect for the setting in The Cloisters at Coombe Abbey.
I loved the idea of incorporating The Second World War ideas and bringing in both their personalities to create a very personal and memorable wedding day truly reflecting them as a couple.
WHITE PEONY BOUQUET – WHITE WEDDING FLOWERS
A white peony bouquet was created to give Steffi the romantic look she was after.
WHITE HYDRANGEA BOUQUETS – WHITE WEDDING FLOWERS
For the bridesmaids we chose fluffy hdrangea bouquets and added ribbon to match their beautiful vintage dresses. I just love the stylish look finished with pearl bracelets.
WHITE ROSE BUTTON HOLES
Dan looked dashing in his Union Jack bow tie teamed with a white rose button hole and pocket square.
WEDDING CEREMONY – CANDELABRA LINING THE AISLE
The room was enhanced with silver candelabra draped with pearls lining the aisle for a romantic setting for the wedding ceremony.
CANDELABRA WEDDING CENTREPIECES – WHITE WEDDING FLOWERS
The magestic candelabra were set at the end of the top table and we added a floral ring of pure white flowers including hydrangeas, peonies, white garden roses, delphiniums and tulips perfect for a May wedding. The fireplace provides a great backdrop and needs opulent flowers on the top table. A large centre piece was created and we added vases of flowers, tea lights and stacks of books collected by the bride.
The guest tables had books for the guests, they had been asked their favourite book in the invitation and the bride had searched for the relevant books. Vases of flowers filled the space on the tables and the elegant candlelight completed the look.
Rebecca and Ryan were planning a Hollywood glamour inspired wedding and enlisted our help to create their stylish look, beautifully captured by Jo Hastings. Rebecca had candlelight high on her list of priorities and loved crystals and white flowers with silver vases.
WHITE BRIDAL BOUQUET – HYDRANGEAS AND ROSES
The bridal gown was so beautiful and suited a white bridal bouquet with hydrangeas and roses. We wanted to ensure the bouquet we designed for her complemented her gown with its intricate embellisments rather than outshone it.
WHITE BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS – HYDRANGEAS AND ROSES
The girls wore Venetian style dresses in gold and so we created a smaller version of the bridal bouquet for them to carry with hydrangeas and roses. The stems were wrapped in organza ribbon with just a hint of shimmer.
WHITE BUTTONHOLES – HYDRANGEAS
Ryan looked immaculate in this dicky bow, tailored suit and white hydrange button hole waiting for his bride. What a cool dude.
WHITE AND SILVER WEDDING CENTREPIECES – HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR
To continue the Hollywood glamour tone set for the day we worked with white and silver to create the wedding centrepieces, vases lined the top table with silver voties and cascading crystals.
The guest tables had elegant candelabra draped with crystals and vases at table level or around the candelabra.
I just love the photos taken in the grounds of Nuthurst, the shot under the cypress tree is such a gorgeous image of this very glamorous couple x
