Niamh and Alex were a dream couple to work with throughout the build up to their wedding. They booked Oldberrow House in Warwickshire for a tipi wedding reception and laid back festival style celebration with family and friends. We knew we were in for a treat with their list of hand picked suppliers.

Gemma and I always jump at a chance to add flowers to a wedding car and the Fiat 500 was a joy to flower. The garland had to fit the festival look and feel of the wedding and be able to withstand the heat of the day and the trip from Oldberrow House over to the ceremony venue. I have to say it was one of our favourite parts of this amazing wedding and still brings tears to my eyes.

I can’t thank you and the team enough for your help, amazing floristry and professional service in the lead up to the wedding and throughout the day. EVERYONE was so complimentary about the flowers – the bridesmaids loved their flower rings, my bouquet was amazing, the tables just looked even better than I had hoped for and the frame around the projector looked great (!). WEDDING CAKE TABLE FLOWERS – WE PROVIDED VASES FOR THE BOUQUETS TO SIT IN ON THE CAKE TABLE
So last weekend was epic we had an amazing time decorating Longbourn Barn for an amazing couple Megan and Tom. Longbourn Barn is a real authentic barn, set in the beautiful English countryside. The barn is a blank canvas, very rustic with a french feel to it as you drive up the driveway. This is the second time we have been fortunate enough to be at the barn this summer and were just blown away by all the beauty.
These are just a taster of the photos by the talented photographers. We cant wait to see the full photos including the epic look inside the barn using rose gold stands with statement blooms and epic top table flowers as well as lots of surprises.
With all our love and huge congratulations to Megan and Tom. xxx
THE FLOWERS
Megan chose an elegant style for her maids and her flowers, blousy hydrangeas with a dusting of eucalyptus to keep the look cool on a hot day and a trailing bouquet of blush sweet avalanche roses, avalanche roses and blousy hydrangea finished with trailing ivy as a nod to her beautiful baby girl Ivy. Megan is a very lucky girl as you will see she surprised everyone with a change of dress after her church wedding before going into a fully decorated barn and delicious gourmet meal.
‘Artists Days’ or any ‘Day Out’ is good for creatives and for the soul. I have long been an admirer of Sabine Darrall but had not had the opportunity to visit her at Lynne Down Barn in Herefordshire. The drive through the countryside gave me chance to unwind and I was all set for a great day out.
The designs we are often asked for by our brides are natural and cascading and it was lovely to spend a day with a small group of florists to exchange ideas and create some beauty. The cascading bouquets were so light hold and all looked very different. I choose seasonal peony and rose blooms and foliage much of which was locally grown. It is the delicacy of the trailing elements that helped pull the design together jasmine trails, scented honeysuckle, philiadelphus, grasses and ammi are firm favourites for a cascading bouquet. Ribbon trails beautifull finish off the bouquet and Elsie the dog was waiting to get in the photo.
