Katrina and Ed tied the knot on a gorgeous Autumn day with a church service followed by a day filled with fun and excitement in a marquee set out in the garden. We love the opportunity to decorate a marquee and Few’s offer the best around.

AUTUMN MARQUEE WEDDINGS: EXTRA DETAILS AROUND THE MARQUEE
When planning decoration for a marquee wedding it is the extra details that help make the day so wonderful, the autumnal toffee apples added a fun and playful touch. The blue glasses a touch of colour and a dusting of sparkle on the side tables.
Somethings happen for a reason and I was lucky enough to meet Jin and Atul at a Wedding Fair when they came to meet their String Quartet and they fell in love with our flower designs. We worked with Jin and Atul from a distance in the early planning stages as they were planning their wedding from their base in Scotland. We later visited their elegant wedding venue Heath House together to finalise details.
BRIDAL BOUQUET – BLUSH PINK ROSES WITH DUSTY BLUE THISTLES, HYDRANGEAS & FOLIAGE
This image by the talented Jo Hastings beautifully captured the elegance of the second part of Atul and Jin’s wedding day. Yes they had two wedding ceremonies. I just love how the bridal bouquet with its blush pink roses and dusty blue thistles for Atul’s Scottish links complement the beautiful oil painting. Heath House if full of the most amazing antiques and beautiful works of art.

Are you thinking of choosing deep purple and burgundy tones for your wedding flowers? Recently we were asked by Wedding Flowers Magazine to take our designs down to London to be shot for their November issue. We used deep purple / maroon / burgundy flowers mixed with a touch of gold to add some glamour.
DEEP PURPLE BRIDAL BOUQUET
For the bridal bouquet we used an natural mix of smoke bush and clematis foliage, deep toned dahlia perfect for an autumn wedding with scabious, scented Kiera rose, sloe berries and touches of trailing amaranthus. The mix of ribbons created a soft romantic finish.
DEEP PURPLE FLOWERS IN CRYSTAL BOWLS ON A GOLD PLATE FOR WEDDING CENTREPIECE
For the centrepiece we created an asymmetrical design in an antique crystal bowl filled with autumnal foliage and blooms, the gold plate added a touch of glamour and height to the design. The combination of autumnal foliage smoke bush, clematis with a mix of sedum and deep toned blooms were the perfect fit with the lush Kiera roses.
PLACE SETTINGS / ESCORT CARD IDEA
For the escort cards we used a mix of mini bottles with guests name and brought the outside in by incorporating snippets of foliage and flowers to set the tone for the day.
WEDDING CEREMONY AT PACKWOOD CHURCH – BLUSH PINK ROSE AND SAGE GREEN EUCALYPTUS BRIDAL BOUQUET
I am a country girl at heart and when the lovely Isabelle contacted me about the flowers for her wedding at Packwood Church in Warwickshire I was thrilled. The church is a personal favourite and the pefect place for a country wedding. Isabelle and her fiance were living in Switzerland so we skyped and shared ideas on pinterest. It soon became apparent that Isabelle was a true romantic and wanted to create a romantic summer wedding wtih beautiful summer flowers including roses, sweet peas and baby’s breath with touches of sage green eucalyptus.
CANDELABRA DECORATIONS AT PACKWOOD CHURCH
An elegant candelabra dressed with flowers welcomed guests into the church.
BLUSH PINK, GREEN AND CREAM BOUQUETS FOR BRIDESMAIDS IN PASTEL DRESSES
The bridesmaids had chosen dreses in a mix of pastel pinks and duck egg tones, so we designed their bouquets to suit and finished with ribbons in coordinating colours to complete the look.
MARQUEE WEDDING RECEPTION – GROOM’S FAMILY HOME, KNOWLE, SOLIHULL
The marquee setting was hosted at the Groom’s family home and the family worked tirelessly to decorate the marquee and garden. No detail was left to chance, the metres of bunting had been lovingly made by the Groom’s mum and pastel coloured lanterns were hung from the marquee.
The aroma of home grown sweat peas filled the room and a wonderful collection of crystal, rose bowls and candelabra were a delight to fill with a mix of soft romantic blooms.
I wish Isabelle and Samuel, the new Mr and Mrs Johnson every happiness in the greatest of love stories.
Another beautiful wedding from our blog archives that we thought you might not have seen. Isobel and Ed were married back in May 2013 the ceremony was held at Princethorpe College and then on to Park Farm in Upper Shuckburgh for the reception. The couple were after a country garden rustic inspired wedding with pretty flowers, hessian, twine, fruit crates and straw bales.
At our consultation we highlighted a number of flowers which we would use throughout the day, these included peonies, hydrangeas in cream, pink and blue, avalanche and sweet avalanche roses, wax flower, gyposphila with eucalyptus. The choice of flowers offered a great mix of soft rounded shapes and texture for contrast to create the country garden rustic look they were after.
COUNTRY GARDEN BRIDAL BOUQUET
Isobel’s bridal bouquet was a handtied mix of country garden flowers, she had beautiful pink peonies, white peonies, blush pink roses with highlights of wax flower, gypsophila and astilbe. We used an off cut of lace from her dress to wrap the handle of the bouquet so it tied in with her dress perfectly, pinned onto the bouquet handle was a stunning brooch that belonged to her Granny.
COLOURFUL BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS
The bridesmaids wore colourful dresses, all six bridesmaids had a different coloured dress which worked well for this relaxed style of wedding. For each bridesmaid we created a bouquet which complimented her dress. The bouquets were all made from a mix of hydrangeas and roses with extra foliage and flowers for textures, we used different colours of hydrangeas and roses for each of the girls. The bouquet handles were all wrapped with hessian and raffia to create a relaxed country feel.
COUNTRY GARDEN WEDDING FLOWERS IN THE MARQUEE
At Park Farm there was a lovely set up of tipis, hay bales covered in cosy blankets and the main marquee to welcome guests. We focused our floral decorations in the main marquee.
The marquee was filled with colourful country bunting strung from the roof with paper pom poms and lanterns hanging down at various points, this created a real wow factor was guests walked into the marquee for the first time. On the tables we laid out our hessian runners and squares of hessian over the linen cloths to create more interest.
The top table had a central arrangement which sat in front of the bride and groom, running along the length of the table were a mix of bottles filled with flowers of the day. The bride and her bridesmaids wanted to get involved with decorating so did these bottles themselves as well as hanging up hearts around the marquee and other finishing touches.
The guest tables had a country rustic cream jug placed on a hessian square, we used a mix of hydrangeas, wax flower, peonies, roses, gyp and eucalyptus in these which smelt divine. We tied raffia around the jugs which the table number was pegged onto. Isobel had collected candles and tea lights to scatter around the tables.
COUNTRY GARDEN TABLE PLAN
We made Isobel and Ed’s wedding table plan from white washed wooden crates which we hung small silver buckets from and filled with peonies, roses and wax flower. Each bucket represented a different table and had a list of the guests names tied to the front of it.
Love the naked wedding cake they had chosen and the country garden feel they had created for their sweetie buffet.
Another wedding from our blog archives today. These coral wedding flowers are some of our most popular images on pinterest, you really love the coral peonies and roses used in the bridal bouquets and country jugs. So we thought we’d share it again so our newer couples have a chance to see it. Scroll down to see more from this wedding at Moxhull Hall.
CORAL WEDDING FLOWERS AT MOXHULL HALL
At Passion for Flowers we love a bit of colour and one of our summer favourites was the gorgeous wedding captured by Jo Hastings Photography. We loved creating coral wedding flowers at Moxhull Hall. Our bride Emma was looking for a country garden vintage inspired wedding perfect for her church wedding and reception at Moxhull Hall. I just love the romantic photos captured here of Emma and Johnny in the gardens.
CORAL BRIDAL BOUQUET ~ CORAL PEONIES & ROSES
Emma’s coral bridal bouquet was a soft mixed bouquet with wonderfully open Coral charm peonies, roses, snippets of hydrangea, dahlia, veronica and dahlias for texture. The bridesmaids held smaller bouquets with a similar mix of blooms just perfect for such a bright sunshiny day.
CORAL ROSE BUTTON HOLES
The button holes tied in to the coral country garden wedding with coral ‘Miss Piggy’ roses with the groom’s having an added touch of pittosporum and spray rose.
CORAL WEDDING FLOWERS ~ JUGS ON VINTAGE BOOKS
Emma and her Mum had worked on lots of extra details for their vintage inspired country garden wedding and we incorporated one of their travel table names into each arrangement. The tables looked relaxed and inviting with a large vintage jug overflowing with a country garden mix of coral peonies, roses, hydrangeas. Make sure you add some greenery into country garden flowers to make them more relaxed and in keeping with the time of year, I find it refreshing in the heat of the summer and it adds depth to the arrangement and the photos. Each table had vintage books to give extra height and small crystal vases or jugs with extra blooms. The bridal party bouquets were also displayed in jugs to be enjoyed throughout the reception.
Emma knew that flowers were an important part of her wedding day and we spent time together going through the alternative looks and flowers available to ensure she was delighted with the final result on her wedding day.
Another re-post from our blog archives. This wedding was a beautiful summer wedding at Iscoyd Park. We had an abundance of peach wedding flowers, with additional touches of vibrant green and yellow daisies. Fab inspiration for a summer wedding.
ISCOYD PARK WEDDING FLOWERS
We first met Nicola at The National Wedding Show and were really excited to create Iscoyd Park Wedding Flowers. At Passion for Flowers we love working with our couples and creating flowers at their venues and Iscoyd Park and St Mary’s Church were certainly highlights this summer.
BRIDAL BOUQUET ~ JUST PICKED DAISIES AND PEACH ROSES
Nicola’s dress was a stunning lace dress and we created a gorgeous hand picked bouquet with a mix of David Austin roses in peach, cream and soft pink combined with just picked daisies, veronica and other summer blooms.
COUNTRY CHURCH WEDDING FLOWERS
St Mary’s is the most beautiful country church in England, we fell in love with it when we visited it with Nicola and Mark earlier in the year. The setting is so wonderful at the end of the lane, within minutes of Iscoyd Park.
The church just needs country church wedding flowers to make it come to life, rustic crates at the entrance brimming with summer blooms. Inside the little church Mark and Nicola knew the church would be packed so we concentrated on the central aisle with just picked pew ends and country church wedding flowers hanging from poles. All the rest of the colour came from Nicola and her gorgeous bridesmaids and cute flower girls. We were thrilled when the Church Warden commented they were the best church flowers she had seen!
BUTTON HOLES TIED WITH TWINE
Mark wanted a mix of hand tied button holes tied with twine – just perfect for this country church wedding. Don’t you just love the invitation with Mark and Nicola on their tandem outside the church?
BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS ~ JUST PICKED DAISIES AND DAVID AUSTIN ROSES
The bridesmaids dresses were one of the first things Nicola had told me about. The buttercup yellow dresses would set the colour palette for the day. We complemented these with hand tied bouquets with just picked daisies ad David Austin roses in cream. soft pink and peach. The wedding car Nicola and Mark had found was also called ‘Buttercup’ which really brought a smile to my face.
ISCOYD PARK WEDDING FLOWERS ~ HANGING BOTTLES FROM TREES
The gardens at Iscoyd Park are simply stunning. One of the delights of creating Iscoyd Park Wedding Flowers was the opportunity to visit with Mark and Nicola, something at Passion for Flowers we always do for new venues to us. We found the perfect tree for hanging bottles and love the photos with the cricket game taking place. The garden at Iscoyd Park was brimming with roses and other blooms perfect as a backdrop to Nicola and Mark on their wedding day.
ISCOYD PARK WEDDING FLOWERS ~ RUSTIC WOODEN CRATES
The rustic wooden crates from church added colour and life into the marquee. Mark and Nicola wanted to ensure the marquee was not bland and so we all worked together to create a warm inviting look and feel in the marquee. Hessian chair backs with bunches of hand picked flowers decorated the chairs, the lovely table names added even more colour as well as the hand crafted cutlery wraps and favour jars.
ISCOYD PARK WEDDING FLOWERS ~ CRYSTAL GLASS VASES AND HESSIAN TABLE RUNNERS
We decorated the tables with a mix of crystal glass vases in very shape and size, stacks of crystal plates festooned with flowers and mirror cake stands with small crystal jugs and vases, tea lights and hessian runners. In the marquee we intensified the colours of the flowers by adding warmer yellow and more touches of peach. Pew ends were added around the marquee and on windowsills in the house.
WORLD MAP WEDDING TABLE PLAN
Nicola and Mark created a great table plan with one of our World Maps beautifully crafted with their stationery.
Bethan and Mark were married last spring at All Saints, the parish church of Sandon, before celebrating their marriage with a drinks reception in Sandon Hall and a wedding breakfast in the stunning marquee. After meeting with Bethan at Sandon Hall we worked on ideas for her cream, white and navy colour scheme to include some blue tones in the flowers perfect for a spring wedding. We just loved their elegant blue and white wedding and felt extremely priveleged to create their wedding flowers.
BLUE AND WHITE TRAILING BRIDAL BOUQUET
Bethan was certain she wanted a trailing bridal bouquet and we designed a trailing mixed bouquet with a relaxed look with avalanche roses, scented freesias, feathery astilbe, trailing ivy, eucalyptus, lisianthus, with some blue tones in the flowers from delphiniums and love in a mist just perfect with her elegant dress and veil.
BLUE AND WHITE BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS
The bridesmaids carried spring blue and white bouquets with a mix of hydrangea, freesia, astrantia, roses and snippets of delphinium. The mix of blues created a lovely contrast to their elegant navy dresses.
CHURCH WEDDING FLOWERS – STONE URNS
All Saints church at Sandon is a wonderful stone building and we felt that the stone urns on plinths would keep everything looking very natural. We added some blousy hydrangea to the mix of tulips, freesia, nigella love in a mist, delphiniums, and plenty of eucalyptus and ivy to create a larger entrance arrangement . Outside the church we set up a mix of spring blooms in a wooden crate and a small posy was placed in the churchyard.
SANDON HALL MARQUEE WEDDING – CANDELABRA CENTREPIECES
In the marquee at Sandon Hall we created beautiful candelabra centrepieces for the tables. The silver candelabra created an elegant look and the white of the marquee was the perfect backdrop for such stunning arrangements with soft spring flowers and plenty of natural foliage. I just love the pop of the blue delphiniums in the mix of flowers.
I have a wonderful job meeting so many lovely couples in the build up to their wedding day and so wanted to share this lovely note from Bethan and Mark.
‘Thank you so much for the incredible flowers and arrangements you put together for our wedding. They were simply stunning and complemented my dress, my bridesmaids’ dresses and the surroundings absolutely perfectly.
I still have no idea how you managed to produce the flowers of my dreams with the very few snippets of information I gave you, a credit to your incredible talent! You made the whole process so easy and we knew we had absolutely nothing to worry about as far as our flowers were concerned. Thank you!’
