Louise and Neil had an elegant marquee wedding in a private home in Orton on the Hill, they were married in the lovely church next door. We will blog more about this elegant wedding soon but for now we just wanted to show you our wooden window shutter table plan and how it can be styled.
As soon as we heard about Justine’s Ian Stuart dress we knew we had to create a perfect bouquet to set it off; we agreed on a cream and nude bouquet with an abundance of quicksand roses, ranunculus, snippets of astrantia. Justine was overjoyed with the florals for the day and her cream and nude roses bridal bouquet. We feel it worked wonderfully with her statement dress totally in keeping with the elegant, romantic look.
For the bridesmaids we created blousy white hydrangea bouquets to link with the softness of the brides Ian Stuart dress.
WALTON HALL WEDDING FLOWERS ~ CEREMONY URNS WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF GREEN & NUDE FLORALS
Walton Hall Wedding Flowers and decorations are always elegant and in keeping with this gorgeous venue. We met Justine and Andy at the National Wedding Show and they fell in love with our rustic inspired urns and table decorations and we worked closely with them to design the florals for the ceremony urns with an abundance of green and nude florals. Eucalyptus, hydrangea, lisianthus, viburnum opulus or guelder rose with quicksand roses toned beautifully with the elegant mercury silver candlesticks and elegance of Walton Hall.
WALTON HALL WEDDING FLOWERS ~ ELEGANT TABLE CENTREPIECES
At Walton Hall it is key to use elegant table centrepieces, here with some rustic textures and soft tones of flowers, we combined mercury silver hurricane vases for the elegance with a soft mix of hydrangea, ranunculus, anemones, guelder roses as well as quicksand roses. The urns for the ceremony were later re-purposed in the alcoves to be enjoyed during the wedding breakfast. Justine loves candles and we had filled the fireplace, tables and windowsills with a mix of mercury candlesticks and tea lights, another elegant touch.
THANK YOU FLOWERS IN JUGS
The mum’s always appreciate a thank you gift and florals are especially welcome. Justine and Andy chose thank you flowers in jugs, keeping with their elegant, rustic wedding look, the jugs can be used again and again and kept as a reminder of a lovely wedding day.
Thank you Danielle for such gorgeous photos, we always love working with you. If you are looking for a florist for your Walton Hall wedding we would love to hear from you.
We love creating Cripps Barn wedding flowers especially hanging globes. It is always a pleasure to travel down to the Cotswolds and create wedding flowers for our couples tying the knot at Cripps Barn. Claire and Ben booked us more than a year before their wedding after they had seen us setting up at Cripps Barn. They were looking for a relaxed rustic wedding celebration with family and friends. Ben is a true romantic and I loved the pearls he had chosen for Claire. The boys were at Cripps the morning of the wedding adding some hand made touches while the girls finished getting ready. Don’t you just love the directional signs lovingly made by Claire’s Dad. All photography by Jen Marino Photography.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ BOUQUETS
Claire and her bridesmaids had wonderful dresses and needed simple just picked flowers to complete their look. We worked with a white and green palette with highlights of purple and blue adding touches of lavender and veronica in the bridal just picked bouquet. To keep the bouquets rustic in style they were finished with hessian.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ RUSTIC BUTTON HOLES WITH TWINE
Rustic button holes with twine suited this rustic style wedding and its setting at Cripps Barn. The button holes were all a little different and finished with twine. Name tags are great to help with handing out the button holes on the wedding day.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ CEREMONY BARN FLOWERS
At Cripps Barn you can choose to have your ceremony in the wonderful ceremony barn which is a simply stunning way to tie the knot. Jars of just picked flowers on the ceremony table and huge just picked hanging globes are all that is needed to complete the look. The beauty of the hanging globes can be enjoyed later in the day for the evening celebrations. The young flower girls pomanders also looked perfect hanging as pew ends from their chairs.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ TOP TABLE FLOWERS
The long top table at Cripps Barn looks warm and inviting with an assortment of jars and vases with just picked flowers from the day. Just Married hessian bunting was added to the front of the top table as well as a hessian runner for another rustic touch.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ PLACE SETTINGS
The guests place settings were finished with lavender for the girls and rosemary for the boys. It is always welcoming to add a floral place setting for your guests.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ WEDDING CAKE DECORATION
The lovely cake was finished with a mini Mr and Mrs bunting and we added rustic flowers hand tied with twine to finish the look. Wedding cake decoration should always tie through into your day so this was just perfect for a rustic wedding at Cripps Barn.
CRIPPS BARN WEDDING FLOWERS ~ HANGING FLOWER GLOBES
The hanging flower globes are a ‘must have’ at Cripps Barn as they are enjoyed by guests throughout the day and are the last thing seen at the end of the evening. Claire and Ben had the hanging flower globes high up on their list of priorities as they had seen ones we had created for previous weddings. For a rustic wedding we combined lots of fresh scented eucalyptus and dill, dreamy gypsophila and blousy hydrangeas.
One of the lovely comments from our happy couple after the wedding was that the globes smelled really amazing.
It was lovely to see the rustic shoot we worked on last January at The Moat House, Dorsington featured on Boho Weddings. We love seeing our work published on blogs and this shoot is just perfect for Boho Weddings. We worked with along side a talented team for the shoot and we created rustic tablescapes on long tables. We used hessian runners and an assortment of rustic vases and vessels filled with seasonal flowers. We created bridal bouquets and button holes, a table plan on apex ladders and more. See the full shoot over on Boho Weddings or see more detail about the flowers on our blog post of this shoot.
At Passion for Flowers we love Warwickshire weddings and we were more than delighted when Ben Hanlin (you may know him from Tricked) and Briony Davies asked us to help them style and create the flowers for their circus themed wedding. We worked closely with Ben and Bri on pinterest and circus themed inspiration and what came together on the day was just amazing and beautifully captured by Jo Hastings Photography.
WHITE & YELLOW WEDDING FLOWERS – BRIDAL BOUQUET
We created a beautiful scented bridal bouquet for Briony with blousy peonies, roses and highlights of scabious seed heads and Billy Balls perfect for the white and yellow wedding flowers to suit her day.
WHITE & YELLOW WEDDING FLOWERS – BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS
The bridesmaids looked stunning in their nude blush dresses and carried white and yellow wedding flowers with peonies, roses and Billy Balls, finished with ivory ribbon. The wedding was in Tanworth in Arden and the bridal party walked across The Green to the country church in glorious sunshine.
YELLOW BUTTON HOLES
How cool does Ben look with his yellow button hole with Billy Balls, scabious seed heads and touches of eucalyptus. Love the subtle yellow tie.
CHURCH WEDDING FLOWERS – RUSTIC CRATES & HEART PEW ENDS
Country churches always look best with country and rustic touches. Rustic crates overflowing with blousy hydrangea, achillea, Billy Balls and eucalyptus welcomed guests to the church and simple hand tied bunches of flowers were added to the heart pew ends. That’s all a country church needs along with a basket brimming with petals to scatter. After the service everyone gathered for drinks on The Green before waving Ben and Briony off in their gorgeous car.
CIRCUS THEMED WEDDING MARQUEE
When we first met and the circus themed wedding was muted I just knew it would be fun. The colours of yellow and white continued from the signs to the ribbons flying in the breeze.
Briony had collected some fun circus themed containers and animals. We raided our props store to find other items to add to the tables. The aim was to have every table a little bit different with a range of vases and vessels. I love how the candelabra, gin bottles, vintage tins and books came together to create a relaxed fun filled day with the yellow and white flowers finishing the look.
CIRCUS THEMED WEDDING IDEAS
If you are planning a circus themed wedding then how about this amazing Joined at The Hip idea brilliant for photos and fun. Outside the marquee guests had the chance to play on the Coconut Shy, sit in the giant Deckchair and generally enjoy this fun filled day. Did I say it was the hottest day of the year and the sun shone all day on the new Mr and Mrs Hanlin.
At Passion for Flowers we love hearing that our couples are planning an outdoor outdoor ceremony at Wethele Manor. Wethele is perfect for adding your own stamp on your day and we were trilled to style the day for Tara and Simo. Tara and Simo had been living in Sardinia and were joined on the day by family and friends.
INDIAN BRIDAL BOUQUET – DEEP PINK, YELLOW & ORANGE
Tara wore an amazing designer gown and we created a stunning bouquet in keeping with her bright colours for the day, blousy peonies, orange ranunculus, yellow billy balls and touches of gold hydrangea finished with an amazing antique gold braid Tara had sourced.
OUTDOOR CEREMONY AT WETHELE MANOR
The outdoor ceremony setting at Wethele Manor creates an elegant backdrop to your wedding ceremony. We added tall candelabra with flowers and trailing ivy to add a gorgeous glow to the wedding day. The flowers again continued the colours set by Tara’s wedding gown and we added trailing aramaranthus, yellow and red freesia as well as orange tulips to the mix.
BRIGHT BUTTON HOLES
The button holes were bright using freesia in a mix of colours and ranunculus.
FLOWER CROWNS FOR THE FLOWER GIRLS
Flowers crowns are just adorable for young flower girls and the bright orange ranunculus and red rose buds looked stunning with their dresses.
CENTREPIECES AT WETHELE MANOR
Tara and Simo chose a sweetheart table with a large centrepiece of big blooms from their day. We love creating WOW factor flowers for the ceremony and sweetheart table. On the guest tables we added a bright floral decoration to the kahari stands and a mix of mercury silver and gold containers with blooms from the day to complete the look. The large candelabra were moved inside to be enjoyed as guests entered the marquee.
A TASTE OF ITALY
The ice cream van was popular with guests of all ages.
We love seeing our designs in magazines. This month’s Wedding Flowers Magazine features our designs in their mixed / bright flowers section of their look book.
MIXED BRIGHT WEDDING FLOWERS
For the mixed flowers we decided to show something that would suit many of our couples. We love the mix of bright pink peonies, with lilac lisianthus, black and white anemone, bright green guelder roses and hints of wax flower. The ribbon we used on the bouquet wrap was a hand dyed ribbon, one of our finds from a recent trip to New York, finished with a brooch we found on our trip too.
For the centrepiece we showed a simple posy of flowers in a ribbed vase and apothecary bottle on a wooden tree slice (slices are available to hire if you are a Passion or Flowers bride / or to buy from The Wedding of my Dreams).
If you are looking for escort cards for your wedding then why not try small apothecary bottles with single flower heads and a cute luggage tag label. These can be displayed for guests to take to their table.
This month we also gave some advice for choosing the right florist for your wedding. If you are still looking for a wedding florist then read our tips on our website and if you think we might be the right wedding florist for you get in touch to check availability.
We just love Barnsley House wedding flowers and we delighted to be asked to be the wedding florist for a gorgeous wedding on 1 May. I had the good fortune of meeting Annalise and Pez earlier this spring to finalise arrangements for their intimate wedding celebrations at Barnsley House.
BARNSLEY HOUSE WEDDING FLOWERS ~ BUTTON HOLES
For the day Annalise chose creamy whites and soft blush tones for her wedding flowers. Pez’s button hole had a touch of spray rose and eucalyptus to tie in with the bridal bouquet.
BARNSLEY HOUSE WEDDING FLOWERS ~ FLOWER GIRLS POMANDERS
When I first saw photos of the gorgeous dresses the young girls would be wearing I just knew that the dreamy flower girl pomanders would look stunning. Their soft blush pink dresses had a blousy rose and they all enjoyed their day so much. I’ll let you into a little secret here, when collecting the urns the next day the girls had chosen to wear their dresses for their breakfast and still looked just as cute!
BARNSLEY HOUSE WEDDING FLOWERS ~ BRIDAL BOUQUET
Annalise had discussed her stunning dress with me and chose a blousy rose and scented peony bouquet with touches of eucalyptus. The look was timeless and so so elegant.
BARNSLEY HOUSE WEDDING FLOWERS ~ INDOOR CEREMONY
At Barnsley House we created an elegant timeless setting for the indoor ceremony, the large urns brought the feeling of a garden setting filled with hydrangea, peonies and roses. The aisle was lined with elegant silver lanterns filled with fresh rose petals. The gardens beckoned for a few photos after the ceremony just before the heavens opened again but nothing could dampen the spirits of this happy couple.
BARNSLEY HOUSE WEDDING FLOWERS ~ CENTREPIECES
Candles and mercury silver created the elegant centrepieces for this Barnsley House wedding. The huge mirror and fireplace overflowing with candles and candlesticks set a romantic look and feel to the room. The centrepieces continued this elegant look with a mix of candlesticks, silver footed bowls and mercury silver vases and vessels filled with scented roses and peonies. I love the freshness of the rosemary tucked into each place setting.
I first met Leanne at a wedding last summer and were more than thrilled when she asked if Passion for Flowers would be able to help her with styling and flowers for her spring wedding at South Farm. Leanne runs Blooming Lovely Films and we have admired her work and just love her style. We had great fun when we met David at the Wedding Industry Awards and were introduced to Ross Harvey who had been asked to photograph this epic wedding. Over the last months we met Leanne a number of times, shared pinterest boards and generally agreed on all things floral.
As it was our first wedding at South Farm we took the opportunity to meet up with Leanne and Dave early this year to see the how we could decorate and enhance the natural beauty of South Farm.
Leanne’s vision for the day was a relaxed day of happiness with family and loved ones. We know she did this and were so happy to be chosen as her florist. As she talked through ideas from the doors to the vespa to the Easter Egg hunt we knew how gorgeous their day would be and of course her divine Claire Pettibone dress.
Ross Harvey has done such a fantastic job at capturing this beautiful day.
South Farm is simply stunning and we worked with its natural beauty to create timeless yet rustic elegant flowers. A mix of roses, clematis, wax flower, pittosporum, hellebores, broom with nigella seed heads created just the right mix for the day.
RUSTIC ELEGANT BOUQUETS FOR LEANNE & HER BRIDESMIADS
At her final consultation Leanne and I agreed on a gorgeous look for her rustic elegant bouquets. The long trailing ribbons looked wonderful with the elegant dresses chosen for the bridesmaids.
RUSTIC ELEGANT BUTTONHOLES
David and his best man Jim set the style for the boy team and we loved their coloured jackets. Rustic elegant button holes with spray roses and a mix from the day, finished with twine fitted the bill perfectly.
South Farm is perfect for an outdoor ceremony and we were thrilled with the finished result and were just so lucky with the weather. When Leanne made her entrance through the doors everyone was so moved. Just to let you into a little secret the doors were something Leanne had hoped for from the beginning of her planning and David organised for them to be delivered and set up for us to decorate on the day. They made a perfect frame to the ceremony area with a delicate flower garland and crates of flowers.
OUTDOOR CEREMONY – SHEPHERDS CROOKS DOWN THE AISLE
Shepherds crooks with simple posies lined the aisle and were later used to decorate the outside tables.
RUSTIC ELEGANT FLOWER CROWN FOR THE BRIDE
We talked about a flower crown and felt it would work beautifully with Leanne’s wedding dress by Claire Pettibone and the relaxed style of her day. The flower crown was Leanne’s crowning glory and one of the many parts of her day she treasured. I just love the photos on the vespa – we added a surprise posy of flowers to the handlebars.
RUSTIC ELEGANT WEDDING CENTREPIECES IN THE BARN
The barn was full for the wedding breakfast and we used a mix of timeless silver vases and crystal vessels filled with flowers to continue the rustic elegant look. We added elegant candle sticks and a garland of flowers to the top table What a fabulous day they had and a wonderful start to their married life.
We will leave you with their beautiful wedding video below.
Much love, Karen and The Passion for Flowers team x
