FLOWER WALL BACKDROP, PEONIES & GOLD GLITTER – CURRADINE BARNS WEDDING

This gorgeous wedding has so many of our favourite things flower wall backdrop, peonies and lots of gold glitter so we were thrilled to take our team down to Curradine Barns for this amazing wedding for the lovely Louise and Rob.

CREATING THE FLOWER WALL BACKDROP AT CURRADINE BARNS

Louise had one particular request she wanted flowers to cover the wall behind the top table to create a backdrop for her wedding celebrations. So the team carefully created her dream by hanging bombastic and miss bombastic spray roses with soft lisianthus to soften her backdrop. Louise and the girls were getting ready at the Barn and so popped in en masse to check how things were going.

PEONY BOUQUETS FOR THE BRIDE AND BRIDESMAIDS

Glamour was the key to the day and nothing hits the spot more than masses of peonies for beautiful bouquets with luxe dresses and lots of gold and glitter.

CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY

The wedding took place at Great Witley Church in Worcestershire and was worth the steep climb up the hill to reveal the most beautiful Baroque Church, noted to be the finest example in England. An abundance of gold created the most magical setting for tying the knot.

CURRADINE BARN WEDDING FLOWERS AND DECORATIONS

The gold signage and stationery continued the gold and glitter mood and was used everywhere, I just love this Order of the Day.

HANGING FLOWER HOOPS, GLASS FOOTED BOWL CENTREPIECES

Lush florals in glass footed bowls were laid out on the tables with hanging flower hoops suspended from the beams over many of the tables to create the natural flower filled room for our happy couple. I just love seeing the delight on Louise’s face as she enters her dream room.

TOP TABLE FLORAL GARLAND AND FLOWER WALL BACKDROP

As the evening went on the speeches and toasts were enjoyed by all with a floral garland to the top table and the stunning flower wall backdrop. Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Jeffers you planned a great party for family and friends.

We left vases to keep the bouquets looking lush around the beautiful gold wedding cake set on the gold glitter cloth.

Sparklers always add a bit of fun to the evening celebrations.

If you fancy a change of look from day to evening then change your hairpiece or veil for a flower crown to be worn for the dancing.

SHUSTOKE FARM BARNS WEDDING FLOWERS – RUSTIC CEREMONY

Reeya Chalotra and Vishal Kapoor’s wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns in July was an elegant, stripped back look with natural flowers. We combined a mix of blooms chosen with the couple including hydrangea, wax flower, fountain grass, grey brunia, lisianthus, eucalyptus and highlights of bombastic soft blush spray roses. Just perfect for the setting at Shustoke Farm Barns in Warwickshire.

ORGANIC STYLE CEREMONY FLOWERS

The ceremony had a natural organic style with hand tied bunches of wax flower, eucalyptus and spray roses to the chairs.

CEREMONY TABLE

To decorate the large wooden ceremony table a loose garland was created with plenty or organic foliage and blooms from the day. Garlands are a great look in a barn style venue with the addition of clylinder vases and candles for some magical candlelight.

HANGING HOOPS OF FLOWERS

The large open barns also benefit from some hanging flowers and so we designed hanging hoops made of wicker and wire, covered with relaxed foliage and flowers. It is important to use large scale blooms like hydrangea in these size of designs to create a dramatic look. Smaller blooms would be lost in a hoop of this size.

GUEST BOOK TABLE

The guest book table had photos and a rustic wooden box with soft organic blooms from the day.

Reeya and Vishal had a beautiful wedding and we are looking forward to seeing them again at The Ashes for Hannah and Rishi’s wedding. Thank you for recommending us. x

HAMPTON MANOR WEDDING – PEACH & WHITE – ROSES IN HANGING BOTTLES

Yolande and Ian married at Hampton Manor with a ceremony in The Birches and reception in Elizabeth’s Court. Richard Shepherd captured the romance of their wedding beautifully.

PEACH AND WHITE BRIDAL BOUQUET – PEACH AVALANCHE ROSES & HYDRANGEAS

The bridal bouquet was a large mix of peach avalanche roses and hydrangea. Ian, always so thoughtful, surprised his wife on their first anniversary and asked me to create a bouquet for her with the same mix of flowers. What a happy wife he has.

Peach and ivory avalanche roses were worn by the men.

HANGING APOTHECARY BOTTLES OUTSIDE THE CEREMONY

The Birches is set in a woodland part of the Hampton Manor Estate and hanging apothecary bottles look great hanging from the trees.

THE BIRCHES – WEDDING CEREMONY FLOWERS & DECORATIONS

The Birches suits rustic elegant styling with its large wooden doors, logs and wooden floor. We added candles with moss down the aisle and a mix of vases and vessels. We have an ever expanding selection which our couples can choose from when they meet at our new workshop in Berkswell. That way their wedding is personal to them.

NATURAL DELPHINIUM PETAL CONFETTI

Natural freeze dried confetti is beautifully scented and perfect for that confetti moment. Make sure you have some waiting in a basket at the ceremony location.

Groupings work well for an informal layout with a variety of vases and vessels in differing heights.

If you are looking for a master baker and stylish cake then Ben The Cakeman is a great choice. We love this cake with the macaroons with a trio of bottles with flowers from the day.

LILAC WEDDING FLOWERS AT WARWICK HOUSE – OUTDOOR CEREMONY

Stacey and Ashley tied the knot at Warwick House, nestled in Southam, Warwickshire. Stacey was full of ideas which we helped bring to life and we were so happy to be involved in this wedding as we had previously created the flowers for her sister’s wedding. Personal recommendation is always the best.

BRIDE & BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS

Stacey and her girls carried relaxed flowers and bouquets with scented freesia, lisianthus,veronica ,quicksand and ocean song roses for a delicate flowery feel.

BUTTON HOLES

Delicate button holes were the order of the day with ranunculus, veronica and a touch of baby’s breath all tied with twine, perfect for an outdood ceremony.

OUTDOOR CEREMONY – WEDDING FLOWERS AT WARWICK HOUSE

We just love outdoor ceremonies and the route to the ceremony was lined with jugs of flowers. The setting was enhanced with rustic crates and a mix of blooms to create a great backdrop for the family photos. Everyone looks so relaxed and proud here in front of the gazebo.

RUSTIC STYLING & WEDDING FLOWERS AT WARWICK HOUSE

The hay bales, buckets of lavender and rustic styling created a great welcome for guests at the entrance to Warwick House.

HAMPTON MANOR NEW OUTDOOR SEATING AREA – STYLED BY PASSION FOR FLOWERS

As we regularly work at Hampton Manor we love it when new changes are made to venues. Hampton Manor have recently enhanced the outdoor area next to Elizabeth’s Court. There is a new seating area for guests to relax which would be lovely on a summers evening.

Have a look at the new seating area we recently styled with copper vases, pretty blooms lanterns, candles and sparklers. Doesn’t it look magical.

ELEVATED FLORALS ABOVE LONG TABLES – PERFECT ALTERNATIVE TO HANGING FLOWERS

What do you think of our elevated florals shown here in the Parlour at Hampton Manor? This elevated design can be used along long tables to create the illusion of hanging flowers without having to fix anything to the ceiling at a venue – much quicker and easier to install on site than a hanging display. The flowers sit on a shelf supported by clear glass tall vases and we think they look just fab…

If you have longer tables the elevated display could continue onto another vase and another to match the length of your table.
If you are getting married at Hampton Manor we love a little extra floral decoration in the Parlour, it will be sure to wow your wedding guests.

HAMPTON MANOR WEDDING FLORIST – TALL BRONZE VASES FOR CENTREPIECES WHITE / BRIGHT PINK FLOWERS

At Passion for Flowers we love working on Hampton Manor weddings. Hampton Manor is only about 10 minutes away from our studio so we often find ourselves working on weddings at this beautiful venue. Being a recommended wedding florist at Hampton Manor we were delighted to be involved in a shoot for their new brochure.

If you are including bronze in your wedding colours you will love these new tall bronze vases we have added to our collection of vases. Here we have shown how they look with classic white flowers and a contrast to show how they look with bright pink florals to tie in with the chairs often used at Hampton Manor.

TALL BRONZE VASES FOR CENTREPIECES WITH CLASSIC WHITE FLOWERS

Here we have used white hydrangeas and pale pink lilac with snippets of eucalyptus to create a larger arrangement within the stunning Elizabeth’s Court. To add candle light at a lower level on the table we have included our bronze candle sticks and bronze votives.

TALL BRONZE VASES FOR CENTREPIECES WITH PINK BLOSSOM

We just love using blossom within our floral creations when it is in season, and this pink blossom was just perfect for a brighter centrepiece at Hampton Manor. The pink really ties in with the pink chairs often used in Elizabeth’s Court. Again we have used bronze candle sticks and votives to create interest at the lower level.

These two different centrepieces use the same vase but demonstrate how they can look completely different using different flowers, colours and textures in the arrangements.

To tie in with the pink and bronze centrepiece we decorated the top table with a run of bronze vases with pink blossom and a mix of different bronze votives.

RUSTIC LUXE WEDDING AT SHUSTOKE FARM BARNS – ANTLERS & GOLD VASES

We always get a thrill when we see one of our weddings on Rock My Wedding and we loved this awesome wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns one of our Warwickshire venues.

RUSTIC LUXE WEDDING AT SHUSTOKE FARM BARNS

The barn lends itself to a rustic luxe wedding so we worked with Jackie and Ross to create a perfect look for their late summer wedding. Metallic vases and votives along with glass bottles worked well for their rustic look. The curated antlers were the finishing touch together with the stationery created with love by the groom’s sister, a graphic designer.

THE BOUQUETS – ROSES AND HYDRANGEAS

Fluffy hydrangeas with O’Hara roses were bound together to create a lush late summer bouquet with a gorgeous scent.The bridal bouquet included seeded eucalyptus and touches of baby’s breath with long trailing ribbons.

BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS

The bridesmaids carried hydrangea and eucalyptus bouquets, a great combination with their mint dresses.I love this relaxed image in the field.

THE BUTTON HOLES

Rustic button holes with spray rose, eucalyptus and thistle suited the boys.

CEREMONY AT SHUSTOKE FARM BARNS

Shustoke Farm Barns is lovely for an indoor ceremony with its exposed brick work, beams and twinkling lights.

RUSTIC LUXE STYLING & WELCOME FLOWERS

To add a WOW factor to your wedding a rustic flower garland creates a great welcome to your guests and gives a first glimpse of your wedding celebrations. Here blousy hydrangea, eucalyptus and baby’s breath met the rustic brief. Simple wicker wreaths, bottles and tree slices with a few hidden stags continued the relaxed feel to the day.

THE TABLE PLAN – POLAROID PHOTOS FOR EACH GUEST

The polaroid table plan helps each guest find their seat.

RUSTIC LUXE WEDDING CENTREPIECES

The eucalyptus place settings and favours continue the rustic luxe ideas complementing the centrepieces and styling.

The simple cake just needed a couple of star blooms to dress.

We loved working with Jackie and Ross to help them develop their wedding look and it seems they loved us too. x

CHAPEL DESIGNERS LONDON 2016

London and Brixton East had a surprise last week when an amazing group of talented floral designers and industry greats got together for Chapel Designers London 2016. The event organised by Holly Heider Chapple of Chapel Designers and Nick Priestly of Mood Flowers was an amazing few days of love, laughter, and learning.

These images show some of my personal highlights.

Window boxes in rainbow colours stretching out along the street in front of Brixton East created by groups of Chapel Designers working together in colour teams inspired by a demo by talented duo Athena Duncan and Mairead Curtin from London florists Rebel Rebel.

A Chapel Designers Conference gives everyone a chance to unwind, rethink mechanics and techniques, share experiences, start new friendships, noursish old friendships and learn in a relaxed and open way. Holly Chapple opended her heart to us and enabled us to produce some great work. Paul Pryke gave us an insight into the world of a floral writer and designer and inspired us with her work. Rebel Rebel told some great tales of early days and I just love their bouquet on legs. Flowerona gave us some useful tips on Instagram and social media.

After a demo from Holly I loved creating this elegant bouquet so beautifully captured by Amanda Dumouchelle who had travelled over from the US to work with Holly and the Chapel Designers. Her work is so wonderful I can’t wait to see more of her images of what my fellow Chapel Designers created. So much beauty in one place.

A highlight was the Chapel Designers Dinner where we celebrated with all the speakers and Chapel Designers, certainly an evening to remember. The fun we had creating the immense tablescape was awesome and we all enjoyed getting to dine under our floral canopy. Team work never looked so good.

An early morning visit to New Covent Garden Market gave us a chance to repurpose our designs alongside the Floral Angels. A great opportunity to support this wonderful charity so close to many of our hearts.

The finale was an epic demonstration by Shane Connolly, his dramatic urn design was overflowing with natural beauty and seasonal delights including garden favourites Viburnum burkwoodii, Amelanchier, Viburnum Opulus and Jasmine. I love his style of work and am thrilled to have had an opportunity to watch him at work.

I am back in the studio now missing my fellow Chapel Designers, feeling inspired by what we can achieve together and looking forward to continuing as floral friends in this wonderful industry.

HAMPTON MANOR WEDDING FAIR – LUXE GOLD WEDDING STYLING

Hampton Manor’s Wedding Fair is an opportunity to showcase a collection of hand picked suppliers who regularly work on amazing weddings at the venue and allow them to dress this gorgeous venue.

We were pleased to meet so many newly engaged couples and existing clients excited to see the Manor dressed in all its glory.

ENTRANCE TABLE / WELCOME TABLE FLOWERS – LUXE GOLD URNS

The warmth of the entrance hall is enhanced by a statement feature. We choose our luxe gold urn filled to brimming with sumptuous blooms including lilac, delphiniums, viburnum opulus, blousy hydrangea and avalanche roses with green bursts of Bells of Ireland. Asymetric trails of ivy and amaranthus cascaded onto the table. A mix of smaller gold vases and vessels completed this luxe look.

LUXE GOLD WEDDING CENTREPIECES AT HAMPTON MANOR – CANDELABRA, GOLD VASES & VESSELS

As an accompanying table centre we selected a luxe gold wedding centrepiece with a gold candelabra surrounded by a curated collection of gold vases and vessels. Flowers in the white and green tones kept the look elegant and timeless.

CLASSIC ELEGANT WEDDING FLOWERS AT THE HEATH HOUSE [PART 2 OF JIN & ATUL’S WEDDING]

Somethings happen for a reason and I was lucky enough to meet Jin and Atul at a Wedding Fair when they came to meet their String Quartet and they fell in love with our flower designs. We worked with Jin and Atul from a distance in the early planning stages as they were planning their wedding from their base in Scotland. We later visited their elegant wedding venue The Heath House together to finalise details.

PART ONE OF JIN AND ATUL’S WEDDING – HINDU CEREMONY AT THE HEATH HOUSE

Jin and Atul had an amazing wedding day with 2 celebrations. As we were preparing for the afternoon English ceremony guests and family were already mingling for the first part of this amazing day filled with so much emotion. Atul and his family gathered for the Sehra Bandi ceremony, where the family gathers to pray and attach the Sehra, a heavily embroidered veil, to Atul’s turban. To hear the music and catch a glimpse of procession of the Baraat was so wonderful. We did not create flowers for the morning celebration but just had to share these beautiful images captured so tenderly by Jo Hastings Photography.

PART TWO OF JIN AND ATUL’S WEDDING – CLASSIC ELEGANT ENGLISH FLOWERS AT THE HEATH HOUSE

The wedding day continued with a classic elegant ceremony inside the wonderful The Heath House.

BRIDAL BOUQUET

I just love how this bridal bouquet with its blush pink roses and dusty blue thistles for Atul’s Scottish links complement Jin’s beautiful Suzanne Neville wedding gown. She looks the epitome of elegance.

BRIDESMAID BOUQUETS

The bridesmaids look so elegant in their full length Two Birds dresses and hand tied bouquets finished with trailing ribbon. Their dress colours picked up the soft blue tone of the thistles in the brides bouquet prefectly.

WEDDING CEREMONY FLOWERS AT THE HEATH HOUSE

Heath House is full of the most amazing antiques and beautiful works of art, the perfect setting for a classic English wedding. The wedding ceremony flowers created a more formal and elegant part of the day with an abundance of blooms,trailing arrangements and footed bowls, all set against the beautiful array of antiques.

WEDDING CENTREPIECES AT THE HEATH HOUSE

The marquee was set for an elegant celebration with tall candelabra and low silver footed bowls. The central top table was decorated with a tall candelabra with a statement floral piece. We added touches of trailing amaranthus, soft lisianthus, dill and spray roses to the mixlurb about how they also have classic English wedding ceremony. The seating plan included favourite teas to link this fusion wedding.
