Katrina and Ed tied the knot on a gorgeous Autumn day with a church service followed by a day filled with fun and excitement in a marquee set out in the garden. We love the opportunity to decorate a marquee and Few’s offer the best around.
Early morning bridal deliveries are a delight and we love arriving amidst the morning preparations with our bridal bouquet. For Katrina and her girls we created a sumptuous mix of blousy David Austin roses with lisianthus.
AUTUMN MARQUEE WEDDINGS: LONG TABLES IN THE MARQUEE
The designs for the long tables included footed bowls brimming with flowers, candlesticks, votives and posy vases with blooms. Tall candelabra added height and elegance around the marquee.

AUTUMN MARQUEE WEDDINGS: EXTRA DETAILS AROUND THE MARQUEE
When planning decoration for a marquee wedding it is the extra details that help make the day so wonderful, the autumnal toffee apples added a fun and playful touch. The blue glasses a touch of colour and a dusting of sparkle on the side tables.
Here at Passion for Flowers we love seeing our work featured in the press, especially when we are not expecting it. Somethings happen for a reason and I was lucky enough to meet Jin and Atul at a Wedding Fair when they came to meet their String Quartet and they fell in love with our flower designs. We worked with Jin and Atul from a distance in the early planning stages as they were planning their wedding from their base in Scotland. We later visited their elegant wedding venue The Heath House together to finalise details.
PART ONE OF JIN AND ATUL’S WEDDING – HINDU CEREMONY AT THE HEATH HOUSE
Jin and Atul had an amazing wedding day with 2 celebrations. As we were preparing for the afternoon English ceremony guests and family were already mingling for the first part of this amazing day filled with so much emotion. Atul and his family gathered for the Sehra Bandi ceremony, where the family gathers to pray and attach the Sehra, a heavily embroidered veil, to Atul’s turban. To hear the music and catch a glimpse of procession of the Baraat was so wonderful. We did not create flowers for the morning celebration but just had to share these beautiful images captured so tenderly by Jo Hastings Photography.
PART TWO OF JIN AND ATUL’S WEDDING – CLASSIC ELEGANT ENGLISH FLOWERS AT THE HEATH HOUSE
The wedding day continued with a classic elegant ceremony inside the wonderful The Heath House.
I just love how this bridal bouquet with its blush pink roses and dusty blue thistles for Atul’s Scottish links complement Jin’s beautiful Suzanne Neville wedding gown. She looks the epitome of elegance.
The bridesmaids look so elegant in their full length Two Birds dresses and hand tied bouquets finished with trailing ribbon. Their dress colours picked up the soft blue tone of the thistles in the brides bouquet prefectly.
WEDDING CEREMONY FLOWERS AT THE HEATH HOUSE
Heath House is full of the most amazing antiques and beautiful works of art, the perfect setting for a classic English wedding. The wedding ceremony flowers created a more formal and elegant part of the day with an abundance of blooms, trailing arrangements and footed bowls, all set against the beautiful array of antiques.
WEDDING CENTREPIECES AT THE HEATH HOUSE
The marquee was set for an elegant celebration with tall candelabra and low silver footed bowls. The central top table was decorated with a tall candelabra with a statement floral piece. We added touches of trailing amaranthus, soft lisianthus, dill and spray roses to the mixlurb about how they also have classic English wedding ceremony. The seating plan included favourite teas to link this fusion wedding.

For soft and subtle winter wedding flowers embrace white and grey as shown here is this winter wedding bouquet with hydrangea, ranunculus, brunia, lisianthus and feathry leaved dusty miller. This white and grey colour combination is a favourite for winter wedding bouquets.
WINTER WEDDING BUTTONHOLES – WHITE AND GREY WITH RIBBON
Dreamy winter wedding button holes with delicate ranunculus, dusty miller and brunia finished with elegant grey ribbon complete the look for the boys.
THE MOAT HOUSE DORSINGTON – A WINTER WEDDING RECEPTION
The Moat House Dorsington lends itself to a winter wedding reception a chance for a relaxed walk back from the village church to the fabulous exclusive venue set in its own private grounds.
WINTER WEDDING CENTREPIECES – HURRICANE VASES
The barn was elegantly decorated with hurricane vases with a winter wedding centrepiece with rustic simplicity continuing the white, grey, and silver look to the day. Crackers and fir cones finished the look for this winter wedding.
WINTER WEDDING FAVOURS & TABLE NAMES
Hot chocolate and marshmallow favours make thoughful winter wedding favours, with a decorated tag as the place name. The table names include images of winter penguins, presents, and stockings.
UNIQUE WINTER WEDDING GUEST BOOK IDEA
Our couples love to embrace the season and Laura and Ian decided on guests signing baubles as a unique winter wedding guest book idea. The messages can be treasured and brought out each Christmas as a reminder of a special day.

We created a classic, elegant look and feel to to their wedding day perfect for the setting at Hampton Manor. We incorporated elegant roses and candles in the ceremony and reception.

LILAC ROSE AND CREAM ROSE BUTTON HOLES
The ladies wore soft lilac ocean song, freesia and lisianthus button holes with the men in cream rose button holes. I love this image of Helen, her dad and attendants walking across to the ceremony.
ELEGANT AISLE DECORATIONS – CLEAR GLASS VASES WITH CANDLES & FRESH ROSE PETALS
The aisle was elegantly styled with glass vases with candles and a sprinkling of fresh rose petals for a classic look.
At the end of October Passion for Flowers transformed The Birches, Hampton Manor’s wedding ceremony barn, into a woodland rustic wedding ceremony setting for their Wedding Fair. We wanted to style the barn for an Autumn woodland wedding ceremony, below are just a few photos, by Fjona Wei-Ling. More photos to follow shortly.
WOODLAND RUSTIC WEDDING CEREMONY AT HAMPTON MANOR
To line the aisle we placed a couple of stacked tree slices with a mix of moss, succulents and candles to create a woodland walkway for the bride to walk towards her groom. At the end of the aisle where the couple stand to say their vows and promises we wanted to create a woodland area to frame the couple.
The woodland wedding arbour to frame the couple as they say their vows and promises was a mix of moss, foliage, wax flower, amaranthus and roses. At the base we used large tree stumps in varying sizes covered in moss and succulents with the addition of candle light to add a rustic glow to the area.
A garland was laid on the floor in a semi circle for the couple to stand inside when they say their vows.
For the Wedding Fair we also showed our wooden wedding favour cart, which we hire out to our couples. This was filled with jam wedding favours and popcorn favours. Our chalkboard signs were hung over chairs to give couples more ideas for decorating the wedding ceremony barn.
Karen delivered an inspiration session at Hampton Manor’s wedding fair, helping couples work with the seasons for their wedding. Our set of vintage ladders was used to hold jam jars filled with flowers and foliage from different seasons.
Are you thinking of choosing deep purple and burgundy tones for your wedding flowers? Recently we were asked by Wedding Flowers Magazine to take our designs down to London to be shot for their November issue. We used deep purple / maroon / burgundy flowers mixed with a touch of gold to add some glamour.
DEEP PURPLE BRIDAL BOUQUET
For the bridal bouquet we used an natural mix of smoke bush and clematis foliage, deep toned dahlia perfect for an autumn wedding with scabious, scented Kiera rose, sloe berries and touches of trailing amaranthus. The mix of ribbons created a soft romantic finish.
DEEP PURPLE FLOWERS IN CRYSTAL BOWLS ON A GOLD PLATE FOR WEDDING CENTREPIECE
For the centrepiece we created an asymmetrical design in an antique crystal bowl filled with autumnal foliage and blooms, the gold plate added a touch of glamour and height to the design. The combination of autumnal foliage smoke bush, clematis with a mix of sedum and deep toned blooms were the perfect fit with the lush Kiera roses.
PLACE SETTINGS / ESCORT CARD IDEA
For the escort cards we used a mix of mini bottles with guests name and brought the outside in by incorporating snippets of foliage and flowers to set the tone for the day.
PASSION FOR FLOWERS STAND AT THE NATIONAL WEDDING SHOW
At Passion for Flowers we love the chance to design our show stopping stand at The National Wedding Show. We are able to meet so many couples either just starting off on their wedding planning journey or wanting to be inspired for some last minute touches. Our stand showed a glimpse into our style of individually designed weddings. Every wedding is unique and designed with our couples in mind to reflect their tastes, venue and personalities. Passion for Flowers couples love flowers and have them high on their wedding list.
Cascading garlands of scented roses and foliage hung delicately from the muslin drapes. The large tablescape included a mix of bronze and gold vases and vessels filled with an autumnal mix of foliage and soft blooms. The hanging installation created a WOW factor to the stand with trailing amaranthus, roses, helebores and even more cascading foliage. Country house venues with fireplaces are lovely to decorate so we styled a fireplace with an asymetrical garland and bronze candlesticks.
BOUQUET FROM THE NATIONAL WEDDING SHOW
A blousy bouquet in our natural romantic style with a heavenly mix of eucalyptus, astilbe, helebores, lisianthus and scented roses stole the show. We always love the richness of soft ribbons to trail.

Bailey, Kathryn and families have a love of good food and cheese so the choice of cake was a labour of love. Each cheese stack had been carefully selected as a favourite and we loved the opportunity to style the table with a rustic wooden tree slice and beautiful blooms from their day.
I was thrilled to receive thanks from Kathryn and Bailey and a lovely note from Kathryn’s mum, “We knew from day 1 that you were the florist for us and I would recommend you to anyone; worth every penny (or £)! Thanks again for the visual impact you created for a perfect day.”
WEDDING CEREMONY AT PACKWOOD CHURCH – BLUSH PINK ROSE AND SAGE GREEN EUCALYPTUS BRIDAL BOUQUET
I am a country girl at heart and when the lovely Isabelle contacted me about the flowers for her wedding at Packwood Church in Warwickshire I was thrilled. It soon became apparent that Isabelle was a true romantic and wanted to create a romantic summer wedding wtih beautiful summer flowers including roses, sweet peas and baby’s breath with touches of sage green eucalyptus.

MARQUEE WEDDING RECEPTION – GROOM’S FAMILY HOME, KNOWLE, SOLIHULL
The marquee setting was hosted at the Groom’s family home and the family worked tirelessly to decorate the marquee and garden. No detail was left to chance, the metres of bunting had been lovingly made by the Groom’s mum and pastel coloured lanterns were hung from the marquee.
The aroma of home grown sweat peas filled the room and a wonderful collection of crystal, rose bowls and candelabra were a delight to fill with a mix of soft romantic blooms.
I wish Isabelle and Samuel, the new Mr and Mrs Johnson every happiness in the greatest of love stories.
